"this is just inviting people in to rob bars and restaurants... like the damn gangster chicago days of the 1960's. force private businesses to let patrons carry guns and you are just asking them to be robbed or worst."

1. No private businesses are being forced to let patrons carry guns.

2. How the fuck could this possibly be inviting robberies?

seriously? robberies wouldn't happen if it weren't for guns, and now you are letting people bring them in to private establishments? that is just inviting trouble.

Either you seem to be quite ignorant of what the existing laws already permit or you're a pretty good troll. For the sake of anyone who may actually really think like you write, I'm willing to bet 20 bucks you can't rattle off where open carry and concealed carry laws currently allows gunowners to actually carry nor the requirements for use of deadly force.

Go travel the world and report back to us. I've been to plenty of places (Peru, England, etc) where guns are essentially not legal to own at all and it's no small stretch to know there are places you can get robbed with just a knife, broken bottle, or even a half dozen thugs working in concert. It happens every day here in the US but gun murders sound like a lot better news. I would suggest reading up on all of the existing laws and changes this makes within NC, not just reading the media-hype headlines that are trying to stir up emotion which they seem to successfully have accomplished.

As much crap as FuhCtious has gotten in this thread about her personal view of guns I can at least feel like she understands there are different strokes for different folks and I can respect that. However, blindly assuming more access for legally qualified concealed carry gunowners means more robberies makes it seem like you don't realize those of us who conceal carry certainly would not go through the hassle of paying money for the permit, submitting to a background criminal and mental health check, fingerprints on file for life, having our DMV records notated as such for whenever police pull us over for any reason, and basically being in the files of the government records forever. These changes allow those who wish to legally follow the law to continue to do so. A criminal doesn't really care about submitting to any of the above requirements.

People who follow the law carrying guns are like having extra good guys. People who don't follow laws and carry guns by definition are criminals. Criminals rob people and shoot people. People with CC permits tend to be borderline obsessive about procedure and safety along with knowing where they can, and cannot carry as we'll as when they can and cannot shoot.

We're just gonna let that one go uncorrected?

Only 3 states do not allow CC where alcohol is served. Though, ND has allowed it, so technically there are only two.

But you don't give a shit about the vague generality that supports your bias right above your post?
