Actually, in 2006 we had already lost to Akron and Southern Mississippi before beating #9 FSU. We finished the season 3-8.

In 2011 we were 5-5 when we beat #7 Clemson.

And in 2012 we were 3-2 when we beat #3 FSU.

The common trend in all of those upsets is being strong on defense (points allowed 15, 13, 16, no more than 1 touchdown in each of them)

I hate looking ahead, but always do anyway. IF we manage a win tonight (yes a huge and very unlikely if), we follow this up with CMU, @WF, Syracuse and a bye week before going to Tally. We could actually be 6-0 heading to FSU. Or we could more easily be 3-3. Overall though I am feeling less optimistic about us making a bowl game seeing that BC, Maryland, and ECU are all playing better than I would have expected.

We "should" win the three after this which would put us at five wins and just need to steal one of those final give games to get us eligible right? Doesnt seem like such a hard task.
