Haha. Fair enough. I wasn't at the App game, but I was there tonight. Yes, construction hat kid is annoying and what makes it worse is I think he's bipolar, so he'll be really amped and then really pissed at the team. I've been to a couple games at Campbell and construction kid is usually there. I guess the PNC Arena staff didn't let him bring in his traffic cone to yell in.

I actually live in North Belmont, but not in anyone's city limits, so we have a Gastonia address. As far as being a State fan in Gaston County, it sucked being around all the Walmart UNC fans. I was more than glad to get away from them when I came to State.

You're right, he's a much better rebounder than Washington.

^1. Yep, especially when I knew more about UNC than them.
2. When I said I live in North Belmont, I meant that's where my parents still live and where I grew up. I'd go back and stay during the summer while I was in undergrad, but since I've been in grad school I stay in Raleigh most of the time.


Game analysis: Definitely need better FT shooting, but I'll be shocked if we shoot that bad again. Anya's block and subsequent no no finger shake was awesome. While we don't have the always 3 pt shooter threat like Wood, I feel like we have more players who can shot the 3.

not sure why anya has turned into a fan favorite. I'm all for the guy, but today was the first time in his 5 games so far he looked like he belonged out there. I'm hoping he keeps improving, but I'm keeping my expectations in check.

The team looked good, and I like their energy. TJ is going to need some more helping scoring, and we had a ton of our shots blocked tonight (although I like the aggressiveness).

Another Campbell fan that was sitting in front of that kid looked like he was ready to kill someone. He left. Few minutes early but not before getting in the kids face and letting him have it.

I'll go further and say it is stupid to make judgments about college players after one year even. Everyone knows biggest improvement is between freshman and sophomore years.

I'm really excited about all the freshmen, i think all of their ceilings are high. Only one I'm not so sure about is Washington, but yeah, i just think the game is moving too fast for him now and he's not used to the physicality of it. but I think he'll eventually get it.

Just watched the game at the office. I'm really trying not to get my hopes up, but I'm really excited about this team. We've got two deficiencies...young guys in the post and consistent shooting (three points and obviously free throws). I think Vandy coming back will really help that first deficiency...but I don't think we're ever going to be a great shooting team. Hopefully we can make most of our open threes and continue to improve all around.

I think we've got a great shot at the tourney.
