I don't think this game has any relation to our ACC games. We'll lose to Duke, Louisville, ND, UVA twice, and UNC at least once no matter what happens today. The other 11 games are all winnable and we'll be the better team in most of them. Already have 1 ACC win, and I don't think it's a stretch to expect 9-2 in those other games.

is the general consensus still that you need 20 wins to make the NCAA or could we sneak in with less with a couple ACC upsets? Even with the matchups that we look better in during ACC play, I don't expect us to carry them all. This game could have been some cushion.

I dont know if the outcome would be different with those guys because coaching is the biggest factor in this loss.

I do know that in terms of roster, our biggest flaw this year and tonight is not having a point guard. With that in mind, tyler lewis would have made this a complete team. A pg is really the only thing keeping us from being a complete roster. The offense would be a lot better, but the d would be the same.

Warren on this team would also make the offense better because he generated the easy baskets most teams get from either a coaches offense or a pure point guard.

If we had them both we'd be top 15 talent but that would likely result in our 2nd most disappointing season ever.

Bigs absolutely rely on guards for those things. If a guard gets penetration or even picks his spot, the big will be in help or out of position all together making it more difficult to box out or defend against a well placed pass.

A big can be sealed on one side with good defense but if the ball quickly rotates he is suddenly completely out of position.

When ur out of position you end up selling out to try and make up for it.
