rushing the court in this game would be sad. you don't rush the court against a team with this many losses when you are ahead of them in the standings.

Pretty positive Tokoto will be on Lacey. He's their best defender, he's our best player, and they play the same position.

I guess that leaves Justin Jackson on Turner. I don't know much about him, but he seems a little plodding for a wing. I can't see him keeping up with Ralston when he starts making those Scott Wood-type cuts around screens. Hopefully Ralston is shooting well tonight.

Oh, and Paige supposedly has Plantar Fasciitis AND a mild ankle sprain. Not that it will stop him from murdering us, but it definitely gives Cat the speed advantage. He needs to take advantage of that.

Yeah, see that's why those matchups intrigue me. Jackson on Turner seems like a huge advantage for Ralston. If Turner or Lacey get hot, I could definitely see them switching to their smaller lineup with Britt in the game.

That said, we'll lose by 30.

I didn't even watch it. Just saw it on my phone and started shouting STATE BEAT DUKE! STATE BEAT DUKE! over and over again to a room of people who didn't care.

I plan to maintain that satisfied feeling regardless of tonight's game.

I mean, fuck Chapel Hill. For decades, they've ran the bullshittiest athletics program of all time, and everybody knows it.

They cheated at women's soccer.

Naturally, I'd like to watch our team put a serious ass-whoopin on 'em. To be honest, I'm also comfortable with a fiery car accident of some kind wiping out the whole team...with their families crying on TV and news anchors acting somber and shit.

But losing to a bunch of shameless, dirty hypocrites in the regular season is probably not gonna get me down much. A tiny part of me is embarrassed our guys even have to play them, like they're an actual team or something. And I feel bad for Chapel Hill's players. All of it is just really embarrassing.

We've played UNC pretty well lately, especially at home. At the very least we're not totally shutting the bed against them like the Sid and Herb days. I think UNC will be in trouble if they underestimate our bigs and try to lock down on the perimeter. It's easy to look at our roster sheet and say we're undersized, but those dudes are all athletic (or freakishly long) and play bigger than their listed height. The key is the defensive glass, this isn't a very good shooting UNC team and they thrive on points off offensive boards. Take that away and we have a real shot.
