I wonder what the spread is going to be for the UNC game? We are a hell of a lot better now than we were when we played them and I feel like at best they have stayed the same.

I stand corrected. Though it still does somewhat frustrate me that Tech was allowed a 17-4 run to come within 3, but at least they finished strong. Hopefully this was a good warm-up for Wednesday night, though UNC will be playing with confidence after demolishing GT by nearly 30.

I'm really surprised both Washington and Cody did not play. Makes no sense unless Gott was trying to punish them or something. Maybe both were dogging it in practice or have minor injuries.

I did notice that just before he put in the walk-ons, he leaned down to talk with Cody and Kyle for a few seconds, probably just letting them know that he was gonna give the walk-ons a chance to play some and not to take it personal or whatever.

There definitely have been some interesting decisions regarding playing time this year (especially with our big men) to try to play the match-ups. Freeman didn't play against UVA and now has started the last two. Kyle played 7 total over the last two but had 28 against UVA. Beejay barely played against Clemson and GT a couple weeks back. I just hope that all those guys understand and no one gets their feelings hurts and wants to transfer.

Also, I can't wait to see Abu develop. Just watching him progress from November until now has been amazing. One of the most athletic/explosive guys we've had in a long time.

Disappointed that we let Va. Tech get so close in 2nd half, but it wasn't close at the end so I can't be too mad. Turner was especially horrendous on defense tonight, but at least he finally hit a good percentage of his threes to make it somewhat worthwhile for him to be on the court.

Otherwise, we played most of the guards on a fairly even rotation and matched up well VT. I think now that Cat is playing better, Turner is labeled the "cancer" and can do nothing right.

theres always going to be someone that isn't playing up to par. Very few players can play at their best for an entire season. There are going to be games, stretches of games, etc. where everyone struggles. Thats why you need more than one or two good players to compete.

I really hope Turner's shot falling against the Hokies is the start of an upward trend of good 3PTFG% because he's probably gonna get matched up some on Tuesday with JP TOE-KUH-TOE who has been balling the last couple games, and he's athletic as fuck. Expect him to blow by Turner and dunk in Anya's face at least once.

I think Tokoto was on Lacey most of the time last game. Tuner was matched up with Jackson, and actually had a pretty good game. Tokoto shut Lacey down. We need more from him this game.

Really interested to see Paige vs Cat 2.0. I feel like if Cat keeps playing the way he has the past few, we have a great chance against them.
