we stopped using them because we started getting boxes that were consistently too warm

mine usually gets dropped off on the porch midday, but even through 100 deg days in the summer with us not getting home until 6 or 7, the ice packs were always at least partially solid.

the new nutrition info cards they're including are nice for a calorie counter like me.

my ice packs were usually still frozen, but the meat was 50-60 degrees

have you actually put a thermometer on your meat? they changed insulation at some point and we started having problems after that.

Looking at freshly or homechef. I can follow a recipe, but i have determined I just don’t want to. Just want something I can warm up in 10-15 minutes and be done. From pics of food looks like homechef has bigger portions, and probably more suited for freezing, but the foods on freshly look good.

Any experience?

I tried freshly, portion sizes were too small. HelloFresh food is pretty good, but you have to cook it yourself, usually 30+ mins

Blue Apron started to suck about this time last year. I guess the pandemic caused a lot of new sign-ups and big supply chain strains. Recipes started getting basic, they started just swapping in whatever they had, quality of the ingredients went down. Ended up dropping it and using some of the stuff I learned to just come up with my own meals and don't miss it.

^what you said. Well, we do a lot of HelloFresh shit because neither of us has to decide what to cook during the week when neither of us feels like cooking.

My job now does give me more time to hit the farmer's market during the week and some of the produce stands out in the sticks. Hope to be doing that more this summer and doing more quasi-healthy freestyling myself.

The services have given me some good cooking ideas that I use pretty regularly though.
