One great player and a few decent pieces does not make you a lock for the tourney. Just ask Ben Simmons and LSU.

Everybody thought or "knew" cat would leave but we were all quietly hoping he would come back ao that we could have a good team next year. Sure, its blind optimism but thats what the gott era is all about, right? The idea that if we stay the course, some day things will just suddenly get better. If we knew every season would be the same in advance, we wouldnt have gott here at all. Thats what i mean by all of a sudden. The hope for turning the corner is suddenly gone, even if it wasnt realistic in the first place. Thats what being a state fan is all about.

My friend that said in Feb 2015 (and documented on tww) that Washington was for sure transferring told me today that he's heard of one of our wings thinking about leaving. Would the martins? Kirk? Rowan? That would be devastating.

We have guys sitting on the bench waiting to play next year that are 10 times better than Martins/rowan/kirk

Guard heavy lineup next year with Abu and Anya/Freeman at the Center.

Also hearing we may pickup that Wake forest transfer who would replace whomever we lose at the wing and be an upgrade, honestly.

Caleb would be the stay, Cody the transfer if any do, won't matter though, next years team will be the most athletic team NCSU has fielded in awhile. Pretty sure we run a 3 guard offense as has been so far done in practice.

Amazing how the Martins swapped talent levels and mainly decision making abilities in the period of a year.

I don't see anyone transferring due to the type of guys they are. they seem to enjoy playing together and playing for state. Kirk possibly but still he showed no signs of resentment while on the bench this year.
