If it was all from the shooter and not friendly fire, how do you sit there in a crowded club while he shoots 100+ people and not try to tackle him or something when he goes to reload? I know it's easier to Monday morning QB these types of situations but you would think if you witnessed 50 people get shot by one person maybe you would take your chances on putting up a fight.

I don't really see how it is that unrealistic. The guy had to reload multiple times and he shot over 100 people. If you have the choice between sitting there and taking a bullet or waiting until he reloads and try to tackle him the latter seems like the better choice. I fully admitted that it is hard to Monday morning QB these situations but at the same time when it looks like you are going to be faced with inevitable death you don't have much to lose to fight back. It's not like the old hostage situations where terrorists would hijack a plane and then let people go, if you have seen some guy shoot 50+ people the odds of him just skipping over you are quite low. I guess your advice would be to sit there and ask him to be nice?

the guy was moving around going in and out of the bathroom and back hallway, its 2am in a probably fairly dark club, you've probably been drinking, there are wounded people all around and a lot of confusion and you're trying to hide or playing dead and don't know exactly where the shooter is or if he is alone

Do we have those details about his movement and the club layout? What about when the shooting went down? I haven't seen any mention of those things yet. Also, never said I would be a hero in that situation, just surprised no one went after him. It's not like we haven't heard stories of people taking down guys like this before and he was in there for hours and his intentions to kill were quite obvious.

There's almost a 100% chance that some of the injuries and a lower but still high % chance that the cops killed a bystander, but you can hardly blame them on that one unless they were indiscriminately firing into the walls of the club. I mean, the off duty cop at the door shot at the guy but didn't hit him, he could have easily hit a patron inside. Police could have hit the already wounded when they conducted their breach, etc.

I'm no fan of police at all, but this situation is entirely different than the biker massacre which they perpetrated.
