the penalty on stenhouse for going below line was such bull crap. theyre sending message to just wreck a bunch of cars if a guy tries to run you down below the line

i disagree. he was not forced to go below the line. once he was down there, he didn't have anywhere else to go, but he wasn't forced down there.

Your Supercross update:

Newport, N.C.'s Cooper Webb, having a largely forgetful start to the season, won his heat race Saturday night in San Diego. In the main event first lap, Ken Roczen pretty much took him out and bent up his bike frame.

^I saw a Joe Gibbs bike won. I didn't realize he had been involved in motor cross for 10 years.

Another random one: Michael Jordan once fielded an AMA Superbike team (motorcycle road racing).

The Gibbs bike won in the 250 class, not the top 450 class. They're pretty much the factory Suzuki team, and Suzuki have been the worst manufacturer team in the 450 class. The guy that won in 250s was the defending 250 West champion, and that was by far his best result for the year.

I run a NASCAR fantasy league with friends every year. Its a blast! It's self run through a spreadsheet b/c we created our own format. It's a fun bunch of people!

Format: You pick one driver per points race, and then cannot choose them again the rest of the season (similar to a suicide league, but in NASCAR, you never run our of drivers). You receive points based on their finish in that race. Additional points are awarded for choosing the race winner. The league has a fee of $75 of which all the fees are used for the season ending payouts. Total points at the end of the season determine the final league rankings.

It's very fun bc the strategy of planning when and where to pick the top drivers and also when and where to pick the underfunded drivers plays out differently for every person each season. It makes watching the races more fun bc each week you can always pull for your favorite driver plus your fantasy driver, and you have a bunch of other drivers to pull against that were picked by the rest of the league.

If anyone is interested let me know. Happy to chat on the phone if you have any questions.

Enjoy the season!

^^2nd pic is 1995 Darlington spring race. Martin won 4 races that year. He, Earnhardt, and Sterling Marlin all had great years, but none of them could do anything with Gordon's 7 wins (and 8 friggin poles). I miss 90s NASCAR.

itd be even cooler to pay 100 bucks for a ticket to have a door panel come off and fly up in the stands and hit you in the head and leave you disabled for the rest of your life

I thought the twins were decent considering they didn't really matter. Maybe the points were enough to get some action going.

they were both incredibly boring until the last 5 laps of each. Amazing how easily these cars went around when you get on their left rear quarter panel.

And my prediction was correct. What a terrible way to end a race. Once again it took about an hour to finish the last 5 laps. Just end the damn race after one attempt at a restart.

^I watched it on my cell phone while watching NC State on TV. At the half I flipped to the big TV and I think there were about 10 laps left. After a few minutes I flipped back to basketball. I think there were about 4, or 5 minutes left on the game clock when the race finally ended.
