I picked up a CM-3011HD and put it up on my roof here in Cary, connected through an HDHR. I'm impressed with how well its picking up everything in the market. I'm even getting Ch2 and Ch8 in Greensboro with no problems.

Comes to about 23.50 per person. Allowed up to 3 streams at once. With unlimited DVR, and now com central, I won’t complain. Prob a shit ton of on demand movies too

I stocked up on giftcards from dollar general 2 weeks ago. Not as good as black friday walmart deal(like 28% off) but 10%on something i know i will buy, plus one in my group thinks its just me and him, so he was already paying 27 a month, plus 20 i get from 3rd person. I was paying like 1.5/month. Now math will be 63.32-35-25 so i will be paying like 3 and change

I like Kodi enough that I haven't felt the need to try anything else.

I think Plex is based on Kodi though, so not sure if that's a useful suggestion for you.

I was doing kodi, but switched over to plex. It has worked great for us for over-the-air dvr and streaming for all our saved movies/tv-shows. My parents, brother, and a friend also have guest accounts on my plex so that can watch my stuff too.

i bought the lifetime plex pass awhile back and has been worth it.

when i travelled a lot for work i was able to sync and download all the movies to my ipad and watch int he airport , hotel, etc. Was great as I didn't get a chance to watch most things at home with kids and busy normal weeks.

^^slight change I guess, I was on an old VZW plan with limited data; went in to look at optionsas it wasn't enough data. turns out it was cheaper to get unlimited data plan that included D+, ESPN-, and Hulu. So I have those now. Certainly use D+ for the kid, but I don't think I've used then ESPN- and probably watched Hulu < 5 times. I should use that more. So, technically yes I'm now paying for 3 additional streaming services, but also for less money than I was without them. Go figure.

Maybe ESPN will come in handy for college basketball, depending on what games air on it. I don't watch any of the other sports on there.

don't think so, It's whatever is on ESPN+, which isn't much (that I watch).

Generally, if it's not OTA, then I don't watch NCSU football / basketball.

YouTube TV and Disney/ESPN in a dispute and YTTV dropped Disney/ESPN channels last night. During bowl season, CBB season, etc lol.

Guess I’ll start looking into Hulu Live or Fubo or something else. YTTV interface and everything was really easy to use and I never had any complaints about it. But without ESPN it’s pretty much useless for me. I definitely liked the family share plan and I don’t think the other streaming options offer anything similar to that.

Yeah I use YTTV almost exclusively for sports. Occasionally we’ll channel surf and land on a movie or something but generally we just don’t watch much live TV except for sports. So the discounted YTTV rate doesn’t do much for me.

Been doing the family share with my brother and parents on YTTV and that works great. But I don’t see that as an option for Hulu or Fubo. Maybe for DirectTV stream, can’t find much clarification on that though.
