Duke has fallen off a lot from their prime during the Gail Goestenkors era (who is best known as the ex-stepmother of NC State legend Adam Simons). The ACC is much tougher now than it was pre-expansion and Duke is pretty far down the pecking order in conference now. I doubt they'll be pushing for top 3 in the conference any time soon.
