Nice, between that and Severance S2 I’ll probably pick up Apple again at some point. FYI I think the 2 months free deal rwoody posted about on the last page is good til like September. After season one of Silo I went and read (listened to) all the books. I actually think the show did some stuff better than the book in the first season. Very interested to see how they continue it.

Bad Monkey is enjoyable.

First 3 episodes were good enough to have in the background while I scrolled Tiktok.

Looks like there’s a good chance Ted Lasso is coming back.I’m divided. While I would love to see more of the characters, they have to tread lightly or it will definitely look like “too much.”

Shrinking is my favorite show on TV currently.

Silo season 2 is bizarrely shitty. Seems almost intentional.
1/8/2025 6:58:18 PM
Sounds like i need to watch silo season 2 when i use my free trial]
1/9/2025 12:20:20 PM
Silo's wretched. It barely resembles the books. I dropped it.
1/9/2025 1:14:03 PM
Whoever decided there needed to be more Common should lose their job.
1/10/2025 12:36:47 PM
I heard good things about Silo so was gonna watch after finishing S2 of Severance. Does it only suck if you read the books, or does it suck as a whole now?
1/10/2025 12:47:41 PM
I liked Silo season 1 quite a bit. It inspired me to read all the books as soon as I finished it. A lot of the changes from the books in S1 I actually thought were pretty good. I haven’t started season 2, and from what I’m hearing I might not ever. Also Common is literally one of the worst actors of all time.
1/10/2025 1:23:50 PM
It sucks as a whole now. Every scene is too dark, and it feels like nothing of importance happens. The end of season 1 wrote a check that season 2 is going out of its way not to cash. Also, regarding Common, allow me to quote myself:
1/10/2025 1:47:09 PM
^Yeah I have no idea why they mastered it so dark. Makes no sense. Pacing is slowBut I’m still enjoying watching the story unfold. I think it would make a good binge watch when you don’t have to wait for the next episode.

Good ending to silo. Still a slow season. Next season seems really interesting though if they continue from the end of this finale
1/17/2025 11:03:44 PM
TV doesn't have enough crossover events these days. Need a Silo/For All Mankind/Severance crossover event
1/18/2025 1:10:14 PM
How can we get you on the writing staff for these shows?

I’ve really enjoyed Severance this season. It took me a long time to finish the first one, I guess there were a couple of slow episodes or something & I lost interest, but it’s so good now. Might go back & rewatch the first half of the first season. Glad to see Apple finally decided to market it a little bit too!
2/1/2025 7:37:29 PM
I considered rewatching season 1, but ended up just watching a couple youtube recaps, though I did make sure to rewatch the season 1 finale.
2/1/2025 9:50:25 PM
I thought Silo S2 was good, but not as great as S1. I'm a big Rebecca Ferguson fan, so I wasn't exactly happy with her weird storyline for S2. Really happy that show was confirmed for S3 & 4 so that the storyline will be completed.

Severance s2e4, holy shit
2/7/2025 9:20:29 PM
Def a good episode, but what happened to Mark being reintegrated? Also, I expected Helly to be more intelligent than that. "A night gardener?" is exactly what I thought of when she said that. In the middle of winter, too? Come on...
2/10/2025 8:56:39 AM
I think reintegration takes time iirc from Petey in season 1. We did see him briefly see Gemma when he was in the tent. Maybe his innie is currently like 99% Innie and 1% Outie currently.
2/10/2025 10:44:54 PM
Based on last few posts this sounds like some kinda westworld intellectual mumbo jumbo
2/11/2025 12:44:17 AM
^^Good point. I also lol at the logistics behind getting them out to the snow plains in the first place. "Irvine, go stand out in the middle of that frozen lake for a minute and just face the wall. Mark, go stand on top of that cliff."Sidenote, I don't quite see what the motivation is for the innies to actually work. They are slave labor with literally no stimulation or (up until the last episode) joy. They work an 8 hour shift, walk out the door, then literally come back and start another 8 hour shift. No sunlight, no sleep, no love, no religion, nothing but work for their entire existence. It sounds like literal hell. If they resist, they go to the break room. Why willingly go and just repeat lines for hours? I feel like if I were in that situation, I would just refuse to do anything. Yeah, okay, carry me to the break room. I'll just stare at the wall and ignore you for hours. I get that ultimately their existence is wiped out if they aren't there, but that honestly seems like a better fate. Especially after working there for however many long years and ultimately being erased from existence anyway.
2/11/2025 9:36:58 AM
things are getting pretty intense
2/21/2025 11:20:41 AM
Reading severance fan theories on the internet makes me realize that a lot of people are incredibly stupid.Like they don't understand the basic premise of the "severance" procedure, and then base elaborate theories shit the show around their obviously wrong assumptions. It's great. ]

Severance episode 4 is a DOOZY!

Innie Mark is dumb af
3/24/2025 12:08:11 PM
[SPOILERS on Severance]^ he isn't really thinking clearly I guess. He admittedly has been through a lot and legitimately thinks he may cease to exist if he goes through that door. He did the "good" thing by saving who he knew to be an innocent person who would have been otherwise killed, and knows he can't get off the severed floor without switching to outtie Mark. I guess the best he can do is try and hide with Helly for as long as possible to have maybe a day or two with her before whatever his final fate may be.One thing I'm interested in learning is how Gemma ended up there in the first place. Outtie Mark mentioned earlier in the season that he identified her dead body. Did Lumon orchestrate a car accident and fake her death with the intention of pairing her with Mark? Did the car accident happen naturally and they saw an opportunity and somehow socially engineered Mark towards working at Lumon? If the numbers that MDR mess with are tied with Gemma's additional consciousnesses and are dependent on Mark, why were the other team members able to refine them too? Somehow tied to their brain implants?
