I'm pretty sure the antichrist won't participate in a week-long Bible reading at the White House, host dozens of prayer meetings, and speak often about Jesus being Lord and Savior, even if Trump doesn't understand what that entails. The spirit of antichrist denies Father and Son, which is more akin to Islam than what Trump has publicly stated.

I love how they've all turned on Tucker Carlson, and MTG.

They were licking the heels of those two two years ago.

lol. Literally the antichrist will do that. That’s the actual written text in revelations

Quote :
" According to Christian eschatology based on Revelation and 2 Thessalonians, the Antichrist will likely pretend to be a Christian or a Messiah figure, using deception to gain global influence. Described as a master manipulator, he will exhibit a "pseudo-messianism", appearing with lamb-like traits before revealing his true, destructive nature.

Key Aspects of the Antichrist’s Deception
The Deceptive Appearance: The Antichrist is portrayed as a charismatic leader who initially presents himself as a solution to world issues. In Revelation 13, the associated False Prophet appears like a "lamb" (imitating Christ) but speaks like a "dragon" (Satan).
A Counterfeit Religious System: He will work alongside a False Prophet to establish a new religious system that mimics Christianity to mislead people. This system will compel people to worship the Antichrist, setting himself up in God's temple.
Perversion of Scripture: The Antichrist will use the guise of religious righteousness to gain trust, only to later show his true colors and oppose all that is deemed holy.
Global Deception: He will create a "supreme religious deception," persuading the world to follow him.

The Bible warns that this deception will be so effective it might deceive even the faithful, using great signs and miracles to solidify his power. "

The antichrist opposes Christ and denies Father and Son. Trump has affirmed biblical beliefs about Jesus while demonstrating confusion or ignorance about salvation by grace through faith.

”Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son.” 1 John 2:22

Trump is hated worldwide and is highly polarizing in the US. The antichrist will be a much more popular figure who produces miracles, not an America-first protectionist at odds with most of the world. Obama seemed to fit this mold more but without the miracles.

^^The Great Deceiver doesn't give a full presentation of the gospel, as Trump has. Satan tends to twist it on some point and lead people astray with a counterfeit like he did through Muhammad, Joseph Smith, Charles Taze Russell, etc. Wittingly or unwittingly, Trump has presented the full gospel message through Easter and Christmas messages as well as recently posting Franklin Graham's letter to him about salvation being by grace through faith in Christ.

I didn't say it did. I refer to Franklin Graham's words and actions, not his wealth.

Quote :
"Let’s look at the record. In 1998, at the height of Bill Clinton’s sex scandals, the younger Graham wrote a powerful op-ed in the Wall Street Journal combating Clinton’s assertion that his affair was a “private” matter. Clinton argued that his misdeeds were “between me, the two people I love the most — my wife and our daughter — and our God.” Graham noted that even the most private of sins can have very public, devastating consequences, and he asked a simple question: “If [Clinton] will lie to or mislead his wife and daughter, those with whom he is most intimate, what will prevent him from doing the same to the American public?”

Graham was right: Clinton, it turned out, wouldn’t just lie to mislead his family. He’d lie to influence courts, Congress, and the American people.

Fast-forward 20 years. By 2018, Donald Trump was president — and helping to win important policy victories for religious conservatives — and Graham’s tune had changed dramatically. He actively repudiated his condemnations of Clinton, calling the Republican pursuit of the then-president “a great mistake that should never have happened,” and argued that “this thing with Stormy Daniels and so forth is nobody’s business.”"

I think that's true for most of us. We excuse the mistakes of people who help our cause while hammering our political enemies when they make the same mistakes. If our favorite player or politician is involved in a scandal, we call it a witch hunt. But when it's someone from the other side, we say they're not fit for the job.

^^Bullet and The Coz have lived in the Bible belt long enough to know better. Why do liberals act surprised when Christians are in favor of a politician who says there are only two sexes, appoints judges who limit abortion, talks about Jesus often at the White House, participates in a Bible reading week, creates a task force to combat anti-Christian bias, threatens countries involved in Christian persecution, protects Christian NGOs, and encourages prayer? You guys are completely tone deaf like the Democratic Party leadership. You'll never get the Evangelical vote with this mentality. Get out more. Go to The Shepherd's Church in Cary or Providence Baptist in Raleigh and find out what many Christians believe and what the Bible says so you won't be so alarmed when Christians support Christian values.

No. Guilty is guilty. Wrong is wrong. I don't excuse it because someone is a Democrat. If they're corrupt, get them out of there and do better.

I understand why so-called evangelicals think the way they do. Because they are constantly propagandized, they don't actually read the Bible. The fact that Donald Trump is seen as representative of anything associated with Christian ideology is evidence enough of the lack of critical thought and understanding.

FYI

Quote :
"Mathematical arguments for God's existence generally rely on formal logic or philosophical inferences rather than direct, scientific proofs. Notable examples include Gödel's ontological proof, which uses modal logic to argue that a "God-like" entity necessarily exists, and the "unreasonable effectiveness of mathematics" argument, which suggests that mathematical laws governing the universe require an intelligent, transcendent mind.

Key Mathematical Arguments
Gödel’s Ontological Proof: Mathematician Kurt Gödel modernized St. Anselm’s argument using modal logic. It defines God as possessing all "positive properties," and since necessary existence is considered a positive property, God must exist in all possible worlds.

The Unreasonable Effectiveness of Mathematics: This argument points out that the universe is fundamentally structured by mathematics (e.g., Fibonacci sequence in nature, physical constants). Because math exists in the mind but dictates the laws of the universe, it suggests a divine "creator" who used math as a language.

Argument from Eternal Truths: This viewpoint, often linked to Augustine and Leibniz, argues that mathematical truths are eternal, universal, and exist outside of human minds. Therefore, they must be grounded in an eternal, omniscient mind (God).

Bayesian Probability: Some, such as Stephen D. Unwin, have applied Bayes' theorem, which calculates the probability of a hypothesis (God's existence) based on prior evidence.

Limitations
Logic vs. Physical Proof: These are philosophical arguments rather than scientific measurements. They are meant to show that belief in God is rational and logically sound, not that God can be measured in a lab.
Definition Constraints: Gödel's proof, for instance, depends on the definition of "positive properties".

These arguments are designed to show that mathematical consistency and existence, as well as logic, are consistent with a rational creator."

Republican women kill their babies the same as democratic women

https://www.kff.org/womens-health-policy/similar-shares-of-republican-democratic-and-independent-women-one-in-seven-report-having-had-an-abortion/

The difference is democratic policies would reduce abortions AND save the lives of pregnant women having complications.

Republicans are happy to watch women die in hospital parking lots as their daughters quietly kill their babies at the same rates

Morally if you are against killing babies, you have to be a democrat. If you love racism and watching pregnant women die, then the GOP is the party for you

But just because you want people to have the freedom to choose a sinful life doesn’t mean you are culpable for that sin. Christianity is a personal religion, it’s one of the main things that set it apart from Islam (which has public calls to prayer and things like that)

Or we could push for a society based on biblical values and encourage citizens to respect the sanctity of human life instead of sanctioning murder and celebrating sexual sin. Legalizing the murder of babies is just as immoral as legalizing genocide. You bring up saving the lives of women, but this is almost never the reason for an abortion.

Quote :
"When breaking down reasons for abortion, risks to the woman's life or a major bodily function are cited in approximately 0.3% of cases."

You say you want people to have the freedom to sin. But abortion is not like viewing pornography or gambling or heavy drinking, which mainly harms the person committing the sin. Abortion involves directly harming and taking the life of another human being. We normally punish people when this occurs. What do you mean by Christianity being a strictly personal religion? What verses can you cite to prove that?

^^ democrats want biblical values and value life more than republicans

But Biblical values don’t mean acting like the IRGC or the Taliban

It means helping the poor, caring for children and communities, expecting honesty and ethical behavior from leaders (not electing a rapist and felon fraud for example), righting your own wrongs, and being good stewards of Gods creations. Republicans hate all of this.

If you actually attended white evangelical Christian churches you’d know that Christianity was personal— it’s literally why the Roman’s killed Jesus, it forced Christian’s underground

^^^^^The Taliban, really? Name one Republican proposing forced burqas, stoning adulterers, or executing gays and blasphemers.

Your idea of caring for children is murdering millions of them before they can even exit the womb. Your idea of helping the poor is destroying the economy with socialist policies. Your idea of family values is staging drag queen shows for young children at public libraries.

The ostensible reason Pilate had Jesus killed was that Jewish leaders told him that Jesus was declaring himself to be a king and setting himself up against Ceaser and that in order to be a "friend of Ceaser," he must execute Jesus.

Jesus also taught us to be a force for good in our communities and influence people to praise God when they witness our good deeds: "You are the light of the world...You are the salt of the earth." He taught us to take the gospel to the whole world, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to obey everything he commanded. If by strictly personal, you mean keep your faith to yourself or not trying to influence the culture for Christ and improve society, then you are horribly mistaken.
