Erik Cole was a correspondent on Rome is Burning showing a day at practice, and he spent a fourth of the segment in the locker room making fun of Ziggy.Cole: This year we're trying to clean it up a little bit and look a little more clean cut.. a little more professional except for this clown over here... How many times have you shaved this year? Four? This is one of the furriest guys on the team right here. I sham on him all the time about shaving; he never does.Zigomanis: Can't impress everybody.Cole: Shave... haircut... back wax.
1/26/2006 6:40:29 PM
^aha, i saw that too
1/26/2006 6:44:37 PM
As per Canes TV/Radio, only 200 SRO tickets remain for Ron Francis Night.
1/26/2006 8:00:47 PM
so k adams gets a penalty for pushing back at that goon after he started all the shit. The guy was slamming his stick into justin williams' face, too. Guess the ref didnt noticeWell, we are the only team in the NHL to be perfect when leading after 2, so that bodes well for us.[Edited on January 26, 2006 at 8:36 PM. Reason : c]

1/26/2006 8:39:15 PM

1/26/2006 8:42:25 PM
AND THEY SCORE
1/26/2006 8:51:01 PM
FUCK YOU ATLANTA, BUNCH OF THUGS
1/26/2006 9:20:50 PM
Atlanta should be pretty pissed on Saturday; should be a fun night.
1/26/2006 9:28:09 PM
Yeah, we are giving those fuckers what they deserve
1/26/2006 9:28:45 PM
Haha scored with 18 seconds to go. This team is really coming together nicely.
1/26/2006 9:29:15 PM
kovlachuk is a whining bitch. I hate that fucker.
1/26/2006 10:16:52 PM
If the Canes win Saturday they will have more wins than they did when they went to the finals.
1/26/2006 10:55:09 PM
fuck bob hartley and his oddly shaped head
1/26/2006 10:55:40 PM
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3709358974845487567Scary to know that we're going to have to face this kid eight time every season. I would hate to see what would happen if Washington actually put even a small supporting cast around him.
1/26/2006 11:23:26 PM
kid is definitely the real deal, and should win the calder trophy...however, it was kinda funny watching the video because of the scores of the games. They have been getting handled pretty bad this year. Washington will get it together eventually though.
1/26/2006 11:57:58 PM
so i havent been paying much attention, but who from the canes is going to the Olympics now?[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 12:20 AM. Reason : .]
1/27/2006 12:19:27 AM
Laviolette is coaching Team USAErik Cole is playing for Team USAMatt Cullen is on the taxi squad for Team USA I *think*Martin Gerber is playing for SwitzerlandFrantisek Kaberle is playing for the Czech Republic
1/27/2006 12:27:50 AM
cole has played unbelievable the last few games... drawing penalties, scoring, and how about that backcheck to save a goal 2night
1/27/2006 12:40:47 AM
Yeah, Cole's game has really been on the past few games. Glad to see it of course. Guess he's showing everyone why he was picked for the Olympic squad. [Edited on January 27, 2006 at 12:55 AM. Reason : .]
1/27/2006 12:54:37 AM
I saw Ovechkin get drafted, and I thought he must be pretty good to go number 1, but goodness, I didn't have a clue he was going to be pulling this crap off! Do you think we could get him here? Just think, Cole, Staal and him on the same line....
1/27/2006 1:10:09 AM
Damnit - Cullen is out 4-6 (or 6-8, not sure which one) weeks with a broken jaw (as per LGC boards). I guess it's a good thing that long Olympic break is coming up to let these injured guys heal.[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 9:38 AM. Reason : .]
1/27/2006 9:37:08 AM
Did not see the game, but saw the highlightsGood win for the canes!
1/27/2006 9:37:45 AM
^^^ If Leonsis will pay Jagr to not score, he'll certainly pay Ovechkin to score at will. Not a chance.[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 2:24 PM. Reason : d]
1/27/2006 2:24:10 PM
^^yea, it sucks that Cullen is out. He has been on a tear lately.
1/27/2006 3:10:44 PM
According to the org, Cullen should only be out 2-4 weeks.Boulerice was assigned to Lowell today for a three game conditioning stint.
1/27/2006 3:31:24 PM
damn, i have a feeling we might need boulerice tomorrow night[Edited on January 27, 2006 at 4:33 PM. Reason : boooooo]
1/27/2006 4:23:35 PM
^i thought the same thing, he needs to mess up kovalchuk
1/27/2006 4:29:47 PM
You guys act like he could actually catch anyone on the ice.Something's wrong with him. His tact is nonexistent, his skating is all wonky...this will really help, methinks.
1/27/2006 4:33:38 PM
Jesse must've got the message. Two assists for him tonight in Lowell on two goals by, you guessed it, NIKKY NORDGREN.
1/27/2006 11:14:56 PM
Boulerice and Nordgren both called up for tonight's game. No word on if either will dress.
1/28/2006 3:16:46 PM
tonights game is kind of scary. There will be a lot of emotion, and Atlanta would love nothing more than to ruin our night. If we can score first, of course we will win. But I think that if we fall behind early, there will be some extra pressure to come back, and I dont know if we will be able to pull it off like we normally do.
1/28/2006 3:21:43 PM
the canes will not loose at home in front of a sold out crowd...it just wont happen
1/28/2006 3:26:00 PM
Both of our goaltenders have the talent to just decide that they're going to win this game. Same goes for Lehtonen if he gets even a smidgen of help reducing screens. Here's to Gerbs/Cam deciding that we've got this one at the opening drop.
1/28/2006 3:29:08 PM
there is no reason to believe that if we fall behind early we can't come back...this season has shown that if anything.
1/28/2006 3:50:22 PM
my ticket says 7, the radio said 6:45WHICH IS IT!!!!1
1/28/2006 3:54:11 PM
I heard 6:45 on the tv last night too. Better go with 6:45, better safe than sorry!
1/28/2006 3:59:43 PM
ive never been to one before, im looking forward to it. then again ive never had to sit in the 300s before either so i hope the seats are decent.
1/28/2006 4:30:05 PM
Well, you couldn't have picked a better night to go to one. In my opinion the 300 seats are the best for actually following the flow of game.
1/28/2006 4:31:38 PM
yeah i figured it would be better for getting a view of the whole thing. but ive always had floor/endzone seats for the basketball games, so i cant even judge how small it will look.. hahaha
1/28/2006 4:34:56 PM

1/28/2006 10:14:37 PM
they should turn down the temp on the ice
1/28/2006 10:17:50 PM
i know. plus i was packed in beside a fat guy that elbowed me every time moved. and for 7 bucks to park youd think they would have some fucking lights out there in the parking lot. im surprised no one robbed me.
1/28/2006 10:20:58 PM
It was an amazing night. I got chillbumps when I saw Ronny greeting everyone as they left the tunnel all wearing Francis jerseys.
