all tickets have a $5 processing fee set by the software company, not by atheltics...athletics doesn't collect any of that money
that $5 is what is helping to offset the cost of the system so we can add more scanners next year and not have to ask for a fee increase

tonight's wasn't sold out I don't think. I called the ticket office about 3pm and they said there were still tickets available. i was also at the game and it looked to be about 2/3 full and gopack lists attendance as: 13526

idk if it was indeed sold out or not, but sold out doesn't mean full house. It just means all the tickets are sold. That doesn't mean everyone with a ticket will come. There are lots of alum that have season tickets and these middle of the week games are hard for some working people, and it is even less appealing when it is against a low quality opponent. If they can't find someone to use their tickets or don't want to give them away, then they go unused and thus turn into empty seats.

I called up the "Return Ticket" company that runs our website. The guy said they only gave out 790 student tickets for the GW game. Which is less than the normal amount. They have sold all the regular tickets and according to the student ticket website all those are taken also.

and the thing w/ ticket return is not to talk about how the system is run because they don't want to give out info that can lead to hacking of the system...it's a security thing

and limiting seats is one of the advantages of this system. They can track how many students go to the games and thus estimate how many seats they should allow. They have been selling (i imagine, although they could be giving them away) to like youth groups and church groups and such. For the games thus far there have only been enough students for the floor seats, and even then there has been quite a few empty seats. They just underestimated the demand for this game.

If more students would come to the early games, then they wouldn't give the student seats away.

but they cannot really just change things around at the last minute. They try to anticipate the amount of students that will come to a game based on attendance to previous games. When you are giving out 20-30 tickets to a group, you can't suddenly say to them at the last minute that they can only have 10. Most people, especially large groups, plan things ahead of time and it is very hard for plans to just change at the last minute.

I mean yeah, some of you could argue that those seats are reserved for students and should only be used for such, but would it better to have 8 sections completely empty for the first half of the season?

i don't have the patience to look through thirty pages of thread. I just want to know if there is any way to use the ticketreturn website this late in the swing of things to get tickets for tonight's UNC-G game.

I saw that the on-demand phase of ticketing for the game had already come and gone, so I figure not, but it's frustrating to know that there definitely won't be a full lower student level tonight.

too late to get a student ticket unless you know someone giving away one. Easiest thing to do is to go to the game a little early and try to buy one at the box office or find someone selling an extra.

One of you needs to check the Small Group Consent box under Student Information. The leader should sign up with his/her unity id when he requests a ticket also then everyone else should enter that person's unity id in the group leader spot when you request tickets.

What they need to add is a "Get Tickets Together" option for on-demand

Where you can put in your Unity ID and the Unity ID of those you want to sit with, and the other users have X amount of time to claim that ticket on their Unity ID otherwise it drops right back into the pool.

since my question seemed to get overlooked earlier, i'll ask it again because i dont want to get charged twice. I claimed my ticket as well as paid for my guest ticket and after i did that, when it should give me the option to print, it takes me to "my tickets" where it just has the two tickets that i requested but gives me no option to print (as if i never claimed the tickets). i really dont want to get charged another $25 by claiming again. does any one have any ideas?
