This is the deepest QB class we have seen in a long time, but Mel hates them all.

anyone else irked when he gave Gruden Wisconsin stuff? That annoyed me a bit, but mostly told me that if he ever makes it, it will definitely be "RW, Wisconsin"

I wanted to play baseball, but the lord had different plans for me. Why didn't he just tell the truth "I wanted to play baseball but couldn't hit"

^^^When something bad happens, religious-types can't take it for what it is, so they have a standard (read: tired) response that it's "god's will".

Also, Chucky is scary.

Not true. He mentioned us a bunch during the NCAA tournament. Also, I think he replaces Jesus with WolfPack in the scripture he posts. Just to keep everyone on their toes.

Only 4 NC State highlights but 2 were against UNC. I'll take it.

"Wilson: "I'll Never Forget This Place"

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Former NC State quarterback Russell Wilson was at the Wolfpack's open practice today and met with the media.

"It's definitely excited to come back here an d see some of the former players, guys I played with at NC State, some of the coaching staff, and some of the guys playing now that I played with."

"It's exciting to be here. I graduated from North Carolina State University. I had a good time here. It was a special time for me with everything that went on in my life, my dad passing away and all the support I had there. We won a lot of football games here."

"I'll never forget this place. It's been a special moment for me."

"Just talking to coach O'Brien and just saying hello again. I hadn't seen him in a while. We've shared a few phone calls every once and a while... just to say hello and back and forth."

"He's a great coach, a good individual. It's good to be here. He's coached me. I've got my foundation from North Carolina State University in terms of academics and in football. I want to have the access to be able to come back. It's a great place and not to far away from home."

"I'm very excited. It's something I've been working on my whole life... to have this opportunity in six or seven days, it's pretty exciting."

"It's a special moment for me coming up. I can't wait to see where I'm going. Whatever that one team is, I'm going to be very, very excited for that and hopefully 31 other teams will be regretting it."

"I've had a couple of different ideas in my head. I thought about saying Wisconsin, I didn't feel like that was right to NC State. I felt like saying NC State, that wasn't right. So I thought about maybe Wolfbadger or something like that. I've got to get some ideas off Twitter and see what people think."

"I'm just focused 100% on football. There is no need to have a Plan B if you have a Plan A. I'm excited about football and playing in the National Football League. Hopefully I can play 12 or 15 years and win a couple of Super Bowls."

"It was definitely hard. When I was trying to figure out... first I was trying to figure out if I was coming back to NC State, once I figured out that wasn't going to be the situation, it was tough to figure out if I should just play baseball or not. But once I left baseball, the day I decided I was going to play football, I knew football was the path I was going to take."

"Just continue to grow.. I had a great season this year. My goal was to lead the nation in passing efficiency. That was something I told myself and I worked on every single day."

"The future is bright. I just take it one day at a time."

"I visited the Buffalo Bills. I've talked to and visited the Denver Broncos and Indianapolis Colts. The Philadelphia Eagles have worked me out. I've talked to a lot of teams though."

"The Lord always take care of it for me and always finds a way."

"I don't see myself changing positions. I know I can play the quarterback position. I'm 5'11 but I'll be the best 5'11 quarterback, I know that."

"I've texted Mike [Glennon] every once and a while, just to say great game or whatever the situation was. With me, I was so occupied, I was playing with the Wisconsin Badgers and had a great season there."

"With me I was definitely following NC State and it was always great to see them win. To see them beat Carolina this year and some of the games they came back from, it was pretty exciting. Like I said earlier, I was so focused on my season it was harder to keep in touch, but I definitely kept in touch with certain guys.""

The moment you all have been waiting for:

Wilson on State: 'I graduated from North Carolina State University and I had a good time here. I'll never forget this place.'"

"Joe Giglio ? @jpgiglio
And one last Wilson note, asked if he will say, 'Russell Wilson: N.C. State' or 'Russell Wilson: Wisconsin' on Monday Night Football.."

Wilson cont.: 'I thought about maybe 'Wolfbadger' or something like that. I'll have to get some ideas off of Twitter.'"

As long as it takes people to say "The ... Ohio State University" It should be no problem for Wilson to say "NC State and Wisconsin"

3rd string qbs aren't even eligible to play until the fourth quarter unless the other two get injured so I'm not sure this will be an issue.
