I have distinct memories from that age of not really caring about the race of people, and being perplexed when first learning about racism. But i went to preschool and kindergarten in a country that had a mixture of various non-white races, with a very large variation in skin tones (i honestly can't remember if there were any whites or not-- i think there were though).
