anyone use these before? My FIL works for them and gives me Burt's Bees products all the time which I usually REALLY love (and grateful for) but these burn my face, make it feel numb, turn it red and make it itch long after using it. I have tried them twice just to make sure. I have only found one review that talks about them burning the face. What could be in them that is doing this? My skin is very sensitive and this is part of their sensitive line.

My mom tried a similar product and had the same reaction. So she gave me what she had left and I had no problem.

But I REFUSE to buy/use burt's bees products. fuck that place.

I'm debating wearing false eyelashes tonight....

On the one hand I have fairly long lashes as it is, they're just not thick, plus false lashes are pretty uncomfortable.

On the other hand, it's NYE and since I didn't really buy anything special to wear tonight, I thought I'd play up my best feature.

I started using that stuff lately and I like it. you can just wipe away the excess and leave the residue as a night cream, or it rinses off easily and does not burn my eyes or mess with my contacts. the pump dispenses way too much product though.

if you prefer to wipe your eye with a liquid, this stuff is good for the price and doesn't irritate my eyes.

I tried a similar product by garnier and it burns, so don't get that one.

^ I like these personally, or sometimes when I have waterproof mascara or I'll use plain ol' vaseline.

Question: Is it ok to carry a white purse after labor day? Does that rule only apply to shoes? I dunno, all I do know is I realllllly want this purse.....and it's only $30!!!

hey everyone, i know some of you know that i sew & that i also cycle. my bf & i are doing the ms150 this year in april (my second time his first time) & we have to fundraise a certain amount to participate. in order to help encourage donations, i have come up with an idea to reward people with prizes (my sewing creations).

the grand prize is a small quilt & every donation of at least $25 will get a reversible tote bag w optional embroidery (name, monogram, whatever you want).

i created a google doc to keep all the details in one spot. if you think you'd be interested check it out. i appreciate it

https://docs.google.com/document/d/15a8ATrQf18rVEOWmMstiZN0ug3IpGvLbHTwXzU4YK_Q/edit

also, since people hate big blocks of text, here is a picture of me on the ride in 2010 with 8 miles to go! (the ms150 has rides in several states & the one we're doing is from houston to austin (about 150mi depending on where you start))

(this is what i look like without make up and yes i have bright pink nails)

So I'm fairly new to wearing leggings and those tight, under-armour athletic pants...and I was wondering if you have to wear panties with leggings? Or with athletic tights?

No panties needed if they have the little cotton pad in the bottom of the crotch.

Hey ladies!

Where is the best place for me to buy some curtains that arent super expensive but that a girl would approve of? Turns out not everyone is a fan of morning sunlight to wake you up...

Target will run you ~$9 a panel for the cheapest stuff.

Ikea I have found better quality and a pretty good price. $25 for two really thick panels that are solid brown, but with a lighter brown stitching design. Simple, but not plain.

Hey Ladies, forgive me for not searching the whole thread to see if someone posted about this, but does anyone know of a good salon in Durham where I can get good/healthy (as healthy as it can be) color correction or stripping? My natural color is dark blond / light brown, but I've been dying in super dark brown for the past few years and I'm tired of the upkeep. When I have about an inch of natural grown in, it looks grey My hair's pretty long and I'd like to keep the length, otherwise I would just chop it off (it grows so fast that I should re-color my hair more often than I care to do). In the future, I think I'll stick with not so permanent color or low lights. Thanks for all your help!

Greetings frannnnnds from the UK!

W still have a couple of more days here but I wanted to post my fashion sightings since coming last week.

London women love: tights! Lots of tights. Mostly black. They also love boots - boots and tights or jeans tucked into boots. They also like flat ankle lace up boots. I saw a lot of those with skinny jeans or tights. They also have a love for wearing tights as pants which looks fine except they also love wearing granny panties with said tights which creates a saggy VPL also lots of fur and leopard print! Lots of leopard print scarves which made me fit right in since I got one for Christmas.

I have learned that women here sacrifice comfort and warm in favor for fashion. Almost no one here wears tennis shoes unless they're working out. We're staying in Kensington right next to Hyde Park so I've been running a lot in the mornings and am quite shocked to see people running out in the cold in just shorts and a tshirt. I guess they're used to the weather - I on the other hand have froze my ass off.

Also lots of men with purses

I'm worried it will be too dressy to wear often. Thoughts?

You can throw a blazer or a cardigan over it to dress it down (and cover the back)

I mean its a pretty dress, but you can make it as dressy as you want.

ALSO... funny story:

I keep a box of make-up removing microdermabrasion face wipes on the bathroom counter next to our toothbrushes (not near the toilet). These are the kind that you have to wet first. I just found out that my boyfriend was confusing these with baby wipes and has been using these to wipe his butt after he poops, and he didn't realize you had to wet them first. He said the little beads felt really good and were useful in removing debris from between the cheeks.
