On Mike and Mike this morning, they were talking about a scenario in which the US takes a first half lead on Ghana and say the Italy-Czech game is tied at half, that the possibilty that the coaches/players of Italy and Czech intentionally play to a tie exists. That way both Italy and Czech get in without having to play hard or risk an injury. Italy would get in as the top team from the bracket anyway, and the US gets eliminated. They said shit like that has happened before. If it does, I say we start a war with both and blow up Ghana just for shits and giggles.

you would hope there would be enough pride to never "play" for a tie...and you would hope the italians learned their lesson, there were some pretty harsh penalties for those serie A teams

Beasley is playing like shit once again.. i would rather see Convey in because he actually pushes forward. I dont know when, but soon Bruce needs to switch to a 4-4-2 and put Johnson up front with McBride.. we need speed.. and bring Eddie Lewis out so either Beasley or Convey can play their natural left mid position

^agreed.. and McBride isnt even that kind of player, he's a poseesion forward, not someone who can really beat people with speed or 1 on 1.. he cant do anything by himself esp when the midfielders arent pushing up
