Good game last night - glad Tex was able to do something good and help him feel more comfortable in his new situation.

I can't lie. I like the lineup.

Brian McCann is hitting SEVENTH... and he can hit! We have a really potent offense especially if Andruw keeps going the way he's going. With offense like that, perhaps that will be enough to overcome the shallow spots in the rotation.

Imagine the season A. Jones would be having if he was hitting at his usual .275-.300. He has 70 RBIs while hitting .218 . Chipper and Ed-gah are alway on base.

yeah no way we are paying both Teixera and Andruw.. I saw we resign Teixera and let Andruw go.. go after someone like Mike Cameron in the offseason

The Teixeira deal was a security move.

We have options with Andruw next year. If he demands too much (Boras will) then we don't HAVE to resign him. We can fill the 4 hole with Texeira and not miss much of a beat there.

Making a deal with Andruw now has been downgraded from make or break to auxiliary. If we can deal, great if not, see ya.

The only thing that worries me now about Tex is that he turned down an 8 year, $140 million dollar deal two weeks ago. He even admitted it. When he becomes a FA after '08, I don't know if Liberty Media is going to be willing to make a long term commitment at $18 or more per season.

Andruw is as good as gone. I don't know what the Braves will do in CF next year. They won't have the money for Torii Hunter and may not have enough for even Mike Cameron. Maybe they'll look to trade for a guy like Ryan Freel or someone like that who provides speed, an okay glove, and an okay bat.

Maybe Frenchy can play center, Johnson can go out to RF, and Yunel can play 2B. If so, the Braves will have the worst defensive OF in baseball. Also we could try Harris in CF full time. He played some CF for the Red Sox and White Sox (albeit not very well).
