So whats the deal with Lucious not quitting and me being an idiot for not knowing that. His name is on the screen and he presses a button which I couldn't tell to be enter or backspace although it was already clear that he would resign if the sonar technology was not put away.

well, batman told him that all he had to do to permanently disable the sonar thing was to type in his name. did you watch the movie with no sound or something, or are you really just 5 and/or retarded?

I have to admit I was one of those dumb fucks

At first I was thinking there was definitely something up with it, cause there was no way they were gonna kill off Gordon, but the longer they kept it up the more I was convinced

And its hard to understand Batman when it sounds like he has a Heath Ledger sized cock in his throat.

Whats the expression "I'm taking this one closer to the chest" supposed to mean alluding to Bruce Wayne's cell phone R$D expenditures

Obviously it was secretive but that statement makes no sense.

It was when the police came and told Gordon's family that I believed it. Without that scene, you know he isnt dead.

that evening commisioner line was classic

my fave 5 joker lines:

evening, commisioner

Haaaaaiiiiiiiiii (to Dent in the hospital)

Yeah (When the black guy asks him if he thought he could just steal his money and walk away)

Six ? (when he mouths it to the guy that thats how many of his friends he killed)

Lets put a smile on that face (just a really cool delivery)

also a cool thing I noticed on my second viewing...

the truck the joker is in when he's firing the rocket launcher; it says "Laughter is the best medicine" on the outside

but someone wrote a red 'S' at the beginning so it reads "Slaughter is the best medicine"

a hidden lol

When Joker tells the imitation Batman "LOOK AT ME" the second time on the video it sounded quite unique. It had the harshest tone and I liked it the most.

during the commercial for the beauty products

Idioms: play it close to one's chest

Be secretive or cautious, give nothing away, as in We've no idea how many tickets they sold; they play it close to their chests. This expression, which is also put as play one's cards close to one's chest, alludes to holding one's cards up against one's chest, so that no one else can see them. [Slang; mid-1900s]

With the way they had the lighting in some of those scenes, Rachael looked like she was in her 50s.

watched it again tonight, they def. say DNA, not fingerprints.

and, did anyone else notice that when Alfred texts Gordon about cops with family in hospitals, that there is a real number (not a "555 number") on the phone. I'm going to step into that movie a couple times tomorrow to try and get that numba. It should be alfred's. If I call and its a "wayne manor answering machine" ill feel hella dorky and awesome.

Has anyone mentioned this, or know if there is a screen shot?

certainly not planned. It is one of several points in the film where Batman has to sacrifice himself for his ideals or the "greater good."

also:

have Talia Al Ghul and Black Mask be in the third

maybe have Deebo be Bane since it looks like he had the neck scar for the venom pipe (though i think they gave him a name already )

I just still can't get over the quality of the performances in this movie.

Put half the actors from any other movie in here and TDK would fall on its face. (Well, not Iron Man. They were all outstanding... but, still)

Nolan put a lot of faith in characters making talking interesting, and this movie does dialogue well. Comic books live and die by dialogue not just being ::EXPOSITION:: followed by ::OBVIOUS SUMMARY:: and so do their movies. X2 was the best X-Men because the individual performances were the best (i.e., Brian Cox had tons of screentime, Magneto had interesting motivations/lines)

Dialogue is always a combined effort, just as Halle Berry MURDERED some decent lines in the x-men movies, Oldman, Freeman, Caine, Eckhart, and even Gyllenhall (and Bill Fitchner!!!) made everyone care, beyond just the tour-de-force histrionics of Ledger and Batman being Batman.

fucking,
ACTING!

he could just speak normally. if they're really going to play the 'device in the suit' thing, then they could just make it a little deeper (actually using a device) rather than that stupid raspy thing he does.

although it wasn't as annoying this time around, i will admit.

So there is an interview with Chris Nolan's brother where he more or less confirms that Dent/Two Face did die in the fall at the end.

One major thing I liked about the Joker approach was he didn't have smooth white face paint

Just something about how haphazard and incomplete it was just made him seem even creepier

i can't wait to see this again
