I think your RB core is pretty solid, and with Colston I might try to unload Henderson and one of your backs for an elite WR

Marshawn, Cadillac, LT and Kevin Smith are all #1 RBs, not shabby

Just so everyone knows....

McFadden out 2-4 weeks with a torn meniscus in his knee

Not that anyone, was getting anything out of him, but someone that somebody probably drafted.

^^I got a team 1-3 and I'm highest scoring out of 8 teams. Explain that?

I was 2nd high score this week but faced the 49ers, Favre, Sims-Walker, and Steve Smith. How's that for luck?

4-0 and alone in first place in my first season ever. My friends have done a league for several years now and ask me every year and I finally decided to do it. Obviously a lot of it has to do with luck but its still funny to me

Team 1: Romo or Flacco this week?

Team 2: Romo or Kolb this week?

Yeah I missed both of my drafts and got Romo in both leagues. I am think about trying to trade for Rivers from some person in my league that has both Rivers and Brees. That person needs a RB and I have Chris Johnson, Turner, and Pierre Thomas, but I am hesitant to move any RB considering that Romo could get hot again.

I have the same 2 QB's as your team 1

I'm going Flacco because of the matchup and his consistency through the first 4 weeks. Romo could get hot again but he isn't right now.

alright guys, need some advice.

this week i've got rodgers on a bye. i picked up SF DEF last week and they obviously helped me get the win.... i also have PIT DEF. i obviously need a QB for the week, so which option do i go with?

Do I drop SF DEF and add a QB to replace Rodgers?

Do I keep SF DEF, drop Sidney Rice or Antonio Bryant, and add a QB? My Top 3 WRs are Roddy White, Cotchery and Steve Smith, so I'm pretty set at WR.

Do I keep SF DEF, drop Ray Rice or Ricky Williams, and add a QB? Other RBs are MJD and Sproles.

Do I drop PIT DEF and add a QB?

Thanks for any advice

^ I'd drop either S.Rice or Bryant and hang on to SF def as they will have some favorable matchups through out the season (just like this past week).

San Fran doesn't play another NFC west game until week 13

Not worth a roster spot unless you have spots to spare

^ but is Sidney Rice or Antonio Bryant worth keeping? The SF def has Patrick Willis and can generate some fantasy points via TOs/sacks. Maybe SF is not worth a roster spot, but I'd rather drop Bryant or Rice before dropping SF.

I think Fred Jackson is still going to get most of the carries. I don't like Lynch much still. He could be better down the road. Mendenhall will not keep that up for sure.

either way, evans has sucked so far this season. Of the 6 WRs that have seen playing time on my team this season, he has produced the least by far. Last week I dropped him in favor of a temporary replacement while Frank Gore is out, so I can't blame you for looking at other options than Lee Evans heh.

Picked up Sims-Walker on waivers today. I have a question though. A little information that will help the question:

We play 3 WRs, 2 RBs, 1 W/R

I have:

WRs: V. Jackson, G. Jennings, J. Cotchery, M. Sims-Walker, M. Manningham
RBs: MJD, F. Gore, T. Hightower, D. Brown, Sproles
TE: Dallas Clark, Brent Celek

Clark is my top TE obviously, and #1 in our league. Celek was my sleeper pick late in our draft who has had an outstanding start sitting at #5 TE in our league. Celek will play week 6 when Clark is out on Bye, but after that Clark will be back in and, barring any injury to Clark, Celek will be a high profile player just sitting on my bench...aka a quality trade bait prospect.

One of the guys in our league has a very strong WR core, a mediocre RB core, and a pretty weak TE (about 40% of the pts that Celek has this season). I am considering trading him Celek and Sproles/Hightower after week 6 in return for DeSean Jackson.

With the rest of my WR core + DeSean Jackson, I feel I would have more than enough every week to field what should be a very powerful WR core + have a high productivity option to compete with a RB for the flex. Because of that, I don't think I would need 5 RBs and feel I can easily get by with 4 (assuming Gore remains healthy when he returns).

I'm not 100% sure he would even bite (although I feel I am actually offering him some solid boosters to his team), but wanted to see what people thought on my end before I offered.

well I havent offered yet. And thats what I thought at first too, but the reason I ended up asking here is that Celek has never seen a starting spot and will never see a starting spot besides Clark's 1 bye week unless Clark gets hurt. Sproles has only played 1 week for me and based on his output so far, he is my 5th choice out of 5 and will hardly see the field again if at all (barring any injuries) as well.

So just player to players it seemed like a lot to give up when I first considered it. But in my situation, the whole reason I am considering trading the players is because they are pretty decent/high profile players to just be sitting on my bench.

Your response was more or less what I figured people would say though, i just figured id ask anyways

2 questions...First pick a QB:

McNabb (if he plays) vs. Tampa
Garrard vs Seattle

Both have great matchups, so I don't think I can go wrong either way.

WR (pick 3)
Randy Moss Vs. Denver
Roddy White Vs. SF
Brandon Marshall Vs. NE
Mario Manningham Vs. Oak

Once again, I like all 4, but pretty much have them in the order I'm leading to at the moment. The Oakland matchup is tempting though with Manningham.

McNabb is expected to start and should do really well against TB. Wait until Friday or Saturday though to make that choice based on his practice snaps and final medical evaluation. Garrard is a great option too so no loss if McNabb isnt 100%.

WRs: Moss, White, Marshall.

Smith seems to be Manning's go to guy and Nicks is back to provide the deep threat so Im not sure where Manningham fits in. Id stick with the #1 receivers you have.

Looks like Sanchez just got some more value with the acquisition of Braylon Edwards. Those effected negatively: J-Co and Keller.

And reportedly Crabtree has signed with the 49ers, so who knows when he'll actually see the field but he could add value to Shaun Hill.

chicken_heads trades Vernon Davis, SF TE to pack_bryan

Still not sure about this trade with Braylon.

Edwards is a deep ball WR, which Sanchez hasn't shown since he's been in the NFL that he can make.

It will help stretch the field, and I'm honestly not sure it doesn't benefit Cotch and Keller more than it hurts them.

If you haven't picked him up yet, Mohamed Massaquo makes a great waiver wire addition, especially now that we are in the midst of the bye week stretch

^^Crazy that I have all those players on my team already. I picked up Davis off the waiver wire and have been impressed. They seem to target him a ton in the redzone. I also start San Fran's defense, and they got me 39 points last week, so I obviously love them.

That said, Holmes is pretty consistent. The Philly d is not though. I guess it really depends how badly you need a quality TE. If you're desperate, I'd do the trade. If you already have a capable starter, I'd stick with Holmes.

***
My question: I'm loaded in the backfield with Slaton and Forte, but have hardly anyone at WR. I've also got two good TE's in Witten and Davis. Would you do either or both of these trades?

Julius Jones for Greg Jennings
Jason Witten for Roddy White

Pick 1 QB:

Brady vs. DEN
Flacco vs. CIN

I also have Randy Moss as my WR...FYI. And I'm playing against a guy starting Denver's defense. So I could load eggs into one basket and if Brady/Moss have a good game it'd count triple kinda.

Pick One

Pierre Garcon - Tennessee
Roddy White - San Fran
Wes Welker - Denver

and

Addai - Tennessee
Marshawn Lynch - Cleveland
Willis McGahee - Cincinatti

I usually have no trouble selecting my players but this week I am not sure. McGahee got way less carries last week. I'm leaning towards Addai. Maybe Marshawn will have a come back game against shitty Cleveland. As for the WRs its a shot in the dark to me.

^ Garcon. Tennessee seems to have no idea how to stop the pass. Peyton will pick them apart. And I'm not sure whats going on with the Buffalo backfield as far as who is getting most of the carries, but I doubt there will be a big difference in the 3, I'd imagine Addai and McGahee have similar shots at a TD. Maybe McGahee.

Every week I question Tom Brady yet every week I start him so I am removing that question (TB v. Orton).

Should I start Wes Welker? I am still nervous about his knee and also Denver's D. (Have plenty other good WRs)

My other RB's are Tim Hightower and Matt Forte

I've got a proposed trade too:

I give
Braylon Edwards
Mike Wallace

I get
Santonio Holmes
Devin Hester

What do you people think?

Edwards might do great in the new system, or he might get suspended for several weeks as a repeat offender under the NFL's conduct policy. I'm tempted to get rid of him while I have the chance.

Thinking of picking up a QB this week. I have Rivers on bye and Eli Manning as a backup. I'm a little wary of playing Manning.

I'm thinking of picking up either Jason Campbell @ Car or Favre @ STL. What say you?

i have NO's kicker, Garrett Hartley. because he has been on suspension for the first four games, i picked up their backup, John Carney. Hartley is no longer suspended, but the saints are keeping both kickers on. should i stick with either of these guys, or go for someone else? i don't need a kicker taking up two roster spots.

So...

I'm thinking it may still be worthwhile if I give him Breaston (got most of his production last year while Boldin was injured). Thoughts?

What do you guys think about picking up this Mohamed Massaquo and dropping Burleson?

Our league is PPR, so even a crappy receiver is good. I'm thinking Massaqou could be better since he is #1 and the most talented, and Anderson could return to his for 2 years ago. Or they could at least be coming from behind a lot. The same thing could be said for seattle, though, but they also have Branch to get lots of targets.
