With Oklahoma's win in the Big 12 championship, unfortunately, Florida State will not get a shot at the National Championship. Hopefully a Fiesta Bowl win will be a step in the right direction for next year.

The #12 Crimson Tide have arrived in Orlando and coach Saban says his team should be ready for the Nittany Lions in the Capital One Bowl. RS Freshman Star Jackson will lead the Tide offense and was quoted before the game saying that he planned to throw and run all over Penn State's top ranked defense. With recent history, this game could turn into an interception fest. Sophomore RB Mark Ingram will play his first game at RB since he was injured for the majority of the season and the Tide defense will have a lot of work ahead of them as their star defensive tackle Terrence Cody is out with a broken collarbone.

The Tide forced a fumble on the game's first possession, scored the games first 10 points and put 172yds through the air and 104yds on the ground but it wasn't enough to leave orlando with a win. Bama saw a 10-0 lead go to a 17-10 halftime deficit and was down 11 going into the 4th quarter. The Penn State defense allowed the Crimson Tide to take a late 25-24 4th quarter lead but the Nittany Lion offense answered what would be the game winning TD with with 2min to go. This loss moves Alabama to 10-3 on the season and leaves them looking for answers on their o-line.

The Wolfpack jump all over an overmatched Air Force team early despite losing Bowens to a back injury, and are able to coast the entire second half. Air Force attempted to dial up the pressure on Russell Wilson, who calmly got the ball out to his receivers quickly, ending the day with 2 Passing TDs and 2 rushing TDs. Russell Wilson ends the season in the 25/10 club for passing/rushing TDs. Toney Baker carried the workload as the Pack kept it on the ground for most of the second half.
