Back to the court logo discussion, Texas put the state outline on their court, which was huge. A&M then went off and tried to one up them by putting an even bigger outline of the state on their court. The thing damn near touches the 3 point line.

I never really thought this before but after watching Minnesota again some and earlier when they beat UNC, I think Tubby Smith is a better coach than people think. I don't care if he won the title with Pitino's talent, he still had to win it. He wouldn't be a bad fit for us being a NC native. Downside is he is 59 already.

Isn't there a new rule where charging cant be called if the defender is standing close to the basket. Similar to the rule in the NBA. I thought I remember Coach K complaining about it last year. I have seen several charges that shouldnt be called tonight.

Yes, but until they put a semi-circle under the basket like in the NBA then it'll be a judgment call, which let's face it, the ACC refs have terrible judgment, especially when it involves a game at the Dean Dome or Cameron.

Yeah. They decided putting a semi circle under the goal was too "expensive" for schools to implement and made it voluntary. Naturally with Tyler "Vlade" Zeller on the roster UNC couldn't afford to put one on the Dean Dome floor.

I remember one possession late, VT gets the fast break advantage, one guy is open for three, passes it to another open for three, who passes it baseline to a guy that almost runs out of bounds, somehow passed it around a unc player to another guy 2 ft from the basket, who passed it a few feet away to another guy in bad position, who then traveled and turned it over

if any of those assholes had some confidence and took the shot they would have been two possessions up, instead UNC runs the floor and drains a three

Technically there is a half-court line but it's blended in with the colors. It's really hard to see even when they zoomed in up close. Just from the standard TV angle though you can't see it.
