This paragraph from "The Fifth Official" is hillarious
Quote :
"Poor old Woy can't seem to get it right at the moment. For the first time this season he decided to release Liverpool's handbrake away from home and stick David 'Wash' Ngog up front with the still slightly undercooked Fernando Torres, knowing full well Spurs are as wide open as a 24-hour supermarket and knackered after a busy week in their quest to achieve world domination while employing absolutely no credible tactics whatsoever.

The trouble is Liverpool's front line looked so unused to being presented with clear cut chances that they froze like an embalmed rabbit in the Arctic whenever they were offered a clear run on Tottenham's goal. Twice Torres opted to fall over rather than shoot when clean through and Maxi is such a bum-licker he copied his colleague's lead and did exactly the same.

Martin Skrtel is so keen to establish himself as a Liverpool legend, a la Jamie Carragher, that he thought he'd better equalise his own opener, while the Paul Konchesky experiment came apart at the seams. If the left back is ever asked to draw a picture of Aaron Lennon he'll have to start with the winger's arse given that he spent most of the afternoon staring at it disappearing into the distance. As Konchesky did his 'wading knee deep in treacle' impression, Lennon breezed through and rounded off a memorable week for Tottenham.

All that, and Carragher managed to dislocate his shoulder but still have a moody pop at Sotirios Kyrgiakos who was taking his time in coming on the field to replace him. After Spurs' winner, Woy sank deep into his seat and stuck his fingers in his ears so he didn't have to listen to the inevitable chant for Kenny Dalglish from the away contingent."

it's a bit harsh... Lucas and Meireleshhhhhhh completely bossed the midfield. Liverpool just didn't have an answer for Bale/Lennon/Modric (when he went at defenders) in the attacking 3rd

I don't think the game plan was bad, Liverpool's backs and wingers just aren't very good. Konchesky obviously sucks but it's not like Insua was that much better anyways

I will not talk shit because my stance on the CC is the same no matter how Liverpool/United do

who cares about the Carling Cup (although it was nice to see that Spector scored twice)

Yeah, Evans and Fabio had terrible games. Smalling looks decent though

That was my stance on the Carling Cup before as well.

But now that Arsenal is incapable of winning trophies...

Gomes just made a game-tying save with his dick.

And as I type he gives up the equalizer.

Everton ties it up late vs Chelski.

^^ Yeah he has incredible foresight. It's like he is mentally 3 touches ahead of his defender sometimes. I toyed with placing him as captain this week on the fantasy team and now regret it, although Teves didn't let me down.

I can't believe Hughes would sell, Dempsey's been one of their few consistent (and healthy) attacking players this year... and they're not exactly in a good position in the table

I like Clint, but I can't see how he's a better option than Kuyt or Cole

Newcastle fired Hughton today

http://msn.foxsports.com/foxsoccer/premierleague/story/Newcastle-fires-manager-Hughton

That's some WTF news since they destroyed Championship last year and aren't doing so bad this year...wonder what the odds of them imploding and getting relegated again are now?

they're mid-table and they've been winning games. it's their first year back in the premiership, and those results are about as good as they can get. doesn't make much sense at all.

HUUUUUGE weekend at the top of the table

A win at WHL for Spurs would get them into position to enter the top 4 again with Blackpool on the schedule next week
