That reminded me of when the team returned from the win over UCONN in 2005. One of my roommates and I went to the Weisiger-Brown building, and a bunch of people were there. He then talked to the student body president Tony Caravano, and we proceeded to make our way over to Krispy Kreme because we heard there was going to be a delay. So we were going to go pick up some donuts for the crowd. When we got there the owner gave us a ton of boxes of donuts and said that those were on the house and to just mention the store when handing them out. We came back and handed out donuts to everyone. I think like 20-30 minutes later the team returned. Everyone went beserk. Then after they went in someone spotted Hodge trying to sneak out to his beat up early 90s Nissan Maxima, and yelled out, "hey there's Hodge" or something. A bunch of people ran over and surrounded him at his car and yelled for him to make a speech. My roommate then took this megaphone and burst through the crowd and handed it to him. He made his speech, the crowd chanted "4 MORE YEARS", and then they finally let him go. It was one of my most memorable experiences at State.

^^^^the crowd in the video looks a lot bigger than the one in 05. the difference was that the 05 team didn't come back to campus until like midnight so the crowd was slightly smaller. and herb didn't come back with the team and the whole team didn't come back either--it was like hodge, brackman, and levi watkins.

I know the season's not near over yet, but holy hell are we going to be stacked next year. I think Leslie stays, we get a healthy Vandenberg (you can't teach tall), and this recruiting class is awesome. Regardless of if we pick up Jefferson, the sky's the limit.

I really dig this team and Gott. You can tell they've really gelled and are having a blast. Good on 'em.

This too was a fond memory of mine. I was one of the first to chase him down at his Maxima. I had a copy of the current Wolfpacker with him on the cover and I had him autograph it on the trunk of his car. I'm pretty sure it's the only signed sports memorabilia I have. Here's a picture of it, with the Technician from the next day.



I'm in that pic, with my face framed above Hodge's head and to the right of the megaphone. That's also my right hand giving the wolfpack sign seemingly protruding from the megaphone. I never noticed that til just now. I never knew I made the front page of the Technician, lol
