If LBJ can't hold the great expectation from fans, he shouldn't wear #23 jersey.

For me, he's not very matured. He's just a cash machine of NBA. It's probably not his mind to wear a 23.
Of course, I can understand that since he was only 18 then.

"I think I like the Thunder better, but I hope Lebron and company wins it this year. This Lebron hating is fucking ridiculous. The guy toils away in fucking Cleveland for 6 years while ownership makes shittastic move after shittastic move (only the Bobcats management made Cleveland look better), with his only fuck-up being "the decision"...which ended up raising $6 million for charity.

Other than that...why the hate? He complains and acts for calls like every other NBA player (Tim Duncan, everyone's poster child, is probably the worst). He's not an asshole like Jordan. No reports of him fucking broads on every road trip (he might do it, but at least he doesn't slip-up like Kobe/Jordan). And he doesn't seem to be a degenerate gambler (Jordan/Barkley).

Someone please give me some legit reasons.

"

I agree with this post completely, but I will give him some flack for that "not 1, not 2, not 3, etc" quote. That was just dumb and no athlete at the highest levels should be saying shit like that in public. Otherwise I have no complaints about LeBron and love watching him play.

Yeah...that was a bad comment. I'm pretty sure he regrets that one as well.

I also bet he thought it was going to turn out true. Little did he know that OKC was building a bad-ass team. The rest of the NBA has to be praying that one or two of those guys are greedy as fuck.

Funny thing is that if Lebron had gone to Chicago he'd almost certainly be grabbing his 2nd title this week. Instead he's about to fall to 0-3, unless he pulls off a miracle

Man you're getting annoying. Almost every athlete that moves to another team mentions the championship(s) they're going to bring there. I seriously doubt most of them believe that.

Lebron's supporting cast in Cleveland wasn't anything special (I think he could've convinced a guy like Bosh to come play with him if he wanted)

but mediocre teams don't win 60+ games in back to back seasons

They went from 61 wins to 19. It was all Lebron. He's the only player in the league who's presence single handedly makes any team a contender. You put him on the Bobcats this year, and they're probably a 6 seed. He's that fucking good.

i agree, and he pretty much singlehandedly led them to the NBA Finals

but if he couldve convinced one big name free agent to join him, that couldve already gotten him a ring

instead he chose to join other big name free agents, hence many peoples disdain for his Decision

cleveland was a well built team with all the right complementary pieces around lebron. they only needed one more robin type star player to be championship level.

I still maintain that the chief reason Cleveland never became a truly great team was the Larry Hughes signing. Near max money for http://heylarryhughespleasestoptakingsomanybadshots.com/. The kept them out of the running for top free agents the next several years. Arguably worse that the Gay and Joe Johnson deals.

Kobe had already won championships at that point. Sure people were saying those all belonged to Shaq, but he was playing for a team that is in a huge market, where other people want to play, with management that has a history of making trades/signings to build championship teams.

Lebron was toiling away in a shitty city, with shitty management that no legit stars wanted to go play for. Instead he went to join a team with out superstars in a city that does not suck, South Beach, and a state without state income tax.

The media has made this into a much larger story than it ever needed to be, mostly because it gives them something to talk about that people actually have an opinion on. Lebron leaving Cleveland to go to Miami is only second to Tim Tebow being a starting QB in terms of stories that get people to take sides quickest. The media has pumped that down people's throats for 2 years and it's just old and tired now.

I'm not a Lebron fan, but I don't dislike him either. I hope he wins multiple championships in Miami just so all the haters the media created with this story have to watch him count his rings. If he never wins or if he wins 8 championships, the media wins either way because they've gotten everyone to take sides.

I don't know how much of The Decision was Jim Gray saying hey come on, do this on national tv, or Lebron wanting to do it and picking Jim Gray to ask him the questions since he's only gonna lob him softballs, but the only way The Decision wouldn't have made him come across as a complete dickhole was if he had taken his talents back to Cleveland instead of shitting on his previous team via a nationally televised spectacle.

I loved Lebron in Cleveland, but hated the way he handled his free agency. And it didn't help that he went to my least favorite NBA team.

Throughout this playoffs though, he's certainly proven he is indeed the best player on the planet, and not that much of a dillhole. But as of right now, I have as many championships as he does.

No Lebron was a complete ass about and nothing about it was genuine. There are some things to consider when evaluating if the decision was genuine or not.

1. he did not let Cleveland know about his decision. nobody knew until it aired on tv. he could have given them a heads up so they could get some idea of what to do to recover. he put them in a terrible position. INTENTIONALLY

2. he scheduled it for the last possible day when he and wade clearly had spoken about it weeks prior. he intentionally designed it to take place on the last day of the period to screw Cleveland and any other team in the picture over completely. this is why people have such a beef. he intentionally made sure his hometown team would be terrible after he left.

3. he rubbed it in their faces and showed that his move was only for greed and that it would essentially mean free championships that he didn't have to work for with the not 1 not 2 not 3 quote.

4. that quote was also him admitting it was bad for the league as a whole and ruined parity. imagine if they really were dominate and won 8 straight championships? that would have been the worst league ever.

Think if this happened to your home team or your sport. He may be a great player but there is no way anyone who is a fan of Cleveland or a fan of the league in general will ever have respect for this guy again. even if he isn't really a bad guy he's too big of a child to realize how shitty the whole thing was.

Yep the NBA was horrible back when Jordan and the Bulls won 6 titles in 8 years with the two baseball years in the middle The NBA thrives when it's superstars are playing in the biggest games. Give up your hate on LeBron just because you have a boner for Kobe.

Boston was the only other team to ever have three superstars join each other. Kobe and Jordan won all of their titles with only one other star player. It may be good for ratings but its not good for basketball quality. I don't have love for Kobe. He's a huge asshole.

If LeBron really was about winning championships, he should have picked the Bulls to sign with 2 years ago. He would've had a much larger window to win multiple rings with a better surrounding cast & better coach.

so he had enough help. he just needed one more player. not 2. cleveland could have easily done that. they would have. he was just greedy and wanted to play with TWO other superstars which couldnt happen in cleveland. he admitted he wanted to have a free walk in to 8 championships instead of working for one.

You can stop now. They had 6 YEARS to do it. 6 FRIGGIN YEARS. They got him:

Wally Szczerbiak
Drew Gooden
Joe Smith
Ben Wallace
Mo Williams
Larry Hughes
Antawn Jamison
Anthony Parker
Leon Powe
Jamario Moon
80-year old Shaq
Sasha Pavlovic

That list could be bigger...but I think you get the point. And who knows if Cleveland even tried and the star players at the time didn't want to live in Cleveland and play 2nd fiddle to the best player in the world. Hell, they threw the bank at Carlos Boozer and couldn't get him to stay (they could have built something around those two...easily the best player to play alongside Lebron in Cleveland).

You should just stop now.

while I agree that Cleveland made moves to try and get a second all-star player (like Jamison or an aging Shaq), you can't be serious when including Leon Powe or Jamario Moon as worthwhile players.

Lol at rodman and pippen not being considered a star player. Eman as usual not knowing what he's talking about.

Nearly Every team that has won the championship has had three star players. Can't wait to hear that bill Russell, jerry west, and isiah Thomas weren't stars either.

pretty sure he acknowledged Pippen was a star, unless you think he was talking about Horace Grant

and Rodman wasn't even a Bull on the first 3peat team...he was the best rebounder in NBA history but he didn't really do anything else well, except piss off opposing teams, which I'd argue is a great value, but isn't quantifiable, so it doesn't factor into WP48 making it useless

and who was the 3rd star on the Lakers 3peat team, face?
