Do some churches allow alcohol (other than communion wine)? I always thought no, but just saw an event at a church that says there is wine.

I never really thought about it too hard, but wedding receptions at churches, and other events and things held there, never have alcohol from my experience. I talked to some girls who planned an event at a church who talked about how they thought about having it elsewhere so they could serve alcohol. And the place we are getting married is a deconsecrated church, so they say a perk of that is churchy feel + being able to drink. I just assumed there was something about being a church that said you can't have events where drinks are served.

(I am trying not to sound super religiously ignorant but I think I am failing.)

the longer i live in this house/neighborhood the more concerned i am for my safety. i didn't realize it was so sketchy when i moved out here but now i can't sleep at all at night or even take my dog out after the sun goes down because i am scared of what may be lurking outside.
