When I got super depressed I just kept reminding myself how sad everyone would be if I died. I couldn't put anyone through that. It would affect more people than you think, too. I would recommend trying to find out why you're sad.

Ive goofed off online, I've bought shit online, all while at work... But there's something absolutely absurd about it that drives me nuts. If it sounds like a bad idea, it probably is. What bothers me the most, is that this twit can fuck everything up for the rest of us. I like having a laid back boss. I don't like people asking questions, when I leave for a doctors appointment. I know my boss is irritated, but he hasn't done anything. I'm hoping that he gets sacrificed in a layoff or something. It doesn't help that this guy is generally a whiny asshole, either. And now I'm rambling, but whatever. "

-cheaper for the company to let you quit vs. fire you
-I wouldn't say a thing...if you end up with no offers you'll be tagged as someone who isn't in for the long haul and has no room to negotiate as you're backed into a corner etc etc
-most companies let you take a week or two to think about the offer/give notice at your current position/finish up and start on date x
-while I'm sure loyalty feels like a bigger deal at a small company, though it sounds like you're at a place with multiple levels of management. At the end of the day you are paid x to perform service y. When you decide you don't want to do service y, they end your pay x. Simple as that. You weren't there to do favors for your boss. Replacing a good employee is always going to be a pain in the ass for the manager - doesn't mean it's personal, nor that you owe that manager any additional consideration. If they take it personally and/or take it on themselves to trash your recommendation from your current employer etc, then forget about them and enjoy your new job with new references.
