Faceless was good. I like them on record (mainly Planetary Duality and Akeldama), but their mix was a bit bassy and they aren't the most exciting live but it was still cool to see them for the first time. They played mostly stuff off the new album and 1 or 2 songs off of Planetary Duality.

yeah, coconut oil. Which is one of the ingredients in Magic Shell. Basically coconut oil has a melting/freezing point of 76F so when it hits the ice cream, it freezes. So just melt chocolate chips and then mix in 2 tablespoons of coconut oil. Pour it over ice cream and voila! Homemade magic shell.

I got my coconut oil at Kroger. Its kind of pricey. I think I made $7 or $8 but it lasts forever and you get a ton.

Fuck. When I asked a friend of mine if he could come to a show tonight as he wasn't sure it he'd had plans or not a while ago responded with "most deffinitely not, gonna be busy kicking cancer's ass".
He then said that he's participating in "some kind of charity thing that a family friend with cancer is a part of" so he's okay it's not him he's fine.

But fuck.

This was half an hour ago and I still haven't completely recovered from the mental/emotional freak out.
Cancer has affected and taken the lives of too many people in my life recently.
It has been 97 days since Ian died.

I really need to work on that breathing at a normal rate thing.

So, awkward situation involves a fuckton of backstory (okay, not too much, but a decentish amount), which can be summarized to... there's a girl who dated my best friend, they broke up, it wasn't too pleasant, but I'm still good friends with her as are a lot of people.
Chatting with another close guy friend who've I've known for years, inadvertently introduced him to his ex gf of three years (they broke up a few months ago, distance kind of killed the spark, unfortunately), he makes a joke about how if there happen to be other cute girls I want to randomly introduce him to, then by all means!
So, the girl comes to mind, he'd love her (but so would everyone). I put it out of my mind as some day, these friends groups will merge, an all will be well, and if she's not part of either that's fine, I don't want to create an awkward situation. Side note, second roommate I've known for just as long, we've always hung out in groups though, so close-ish, but not so much. Hung out with him for a while the night before last though, I had forgotten about how super cool he was, and realized last night that he and firstmalefriend have very similar interests.
He's in a show, I go to see the show with a group of friends (group of friends the girl's ex isn't part of, and he and other people couldn't join, so it wasn't a merge), I realize that because her ex isn't coming, she might enjoy it, and hell, I'll get her to meet this guy. See what happens. Not my problem, awkward situation done.

But I forgot about the whole "everyone adores her" thing, because >2 of the people in that friends group are interested.
I told them both to slow down and yes she's adorable and meshes perfectly you guys need to get to know her better, but knowing both of these people, they would both be really good for her. Oh and also they're roommates. Even the third roommate seems to have some interest in her.

This will be interesting and potentially awkward but I am once again ever so glad that my friends are mature.

They talked to each other already, they're both kinda infatuated. The one I intended to introduce her to even offered to back down if the guy wanted to pursue her, but was told it wasn't necessary yet. I told them both to calm down and they're each getting to know her on their own, I'm just worried about the potential drama, I don't want either of them to get hurt, or for her to be put in a super awkward situation I inadvertently created.

It's hilarious though, that she removed her facebook, so they're both clueless about her except for what they talked to her about, so they'll each have to be a lot more personal, which is actually really nice, but really weird.

Do you think maybe you're a little too close to the situation? Just see how it plays out. No big deal. People should be able to hang out in different groups of former insignificants, friends, etc without major unpleasantries.

I sort of clump my friends into 3 groups based on how I know them XD. I have pretty successfully merged groups A and B, and groups C and A are in the process of getting to know each other, and I would like groups B and C to get to know each other. The girl dated a guy from group B and is now part of group C. I'm really glad how well all of my friends are getting along, but while people are pursuing her, I'm going to stop trying to merge people.

tl;dr: successful merge of two of the groups, the third I want to merge, but not now that drama might happen. It can wait.

And while yes, in other situations I would say "yeah, just let them get to know each other, I'll just watch", I'm really close with the first friend, I knew all of the details of his last relationship in the beginning (from both him and her), and that's pretty definitely going to happen/has started already this time. I'm not totally sure about the second guy, as he and are only just recently starting to talk/hang out not in groups of people.
