It saddens me a lot that I have no respect for my mother. I haven't really liked her as far back as I can remember, she has always favored my sister, and they would always gang up on me, but it's gotten drastically worse over the past few years, I can't have a conversation with her without wanting to scream and cry.
We had a falling out over winter break and then somehow had a few months of civility from ~February to May, she gave me a compliment for the first time in years/that I can remember a few weeks ago and it resulted in me breaking down and crying in my car once I had left.

But now it's all gone again. I wish I could say it was nice to think of her as a human being and not a piece of shit, but all she's done is prove that she's genuinely not worth me feigning respect for anymore. It's pathetic and immature, but a whiny woman who has the reasoning ability and bitchy issues of a 5 year old simply isn't worth my time and tears. And once my father leaves on business or for work, she goes against everything he says and says she doesn't care anymore.

I might be getting pushed out of my position at work which would mean going back to nights.

On my way home, my car was getting really hot, so I'm sitting at Barnes and Noble waiting for it to cool off so I can check it out. I just replaced the thermostat (like a month ago), so I don't know what's going on.

hmm. looks like I will be offered the opportunity to continue my current role at my company next year as well. It's an awesome career resume-building opportunity, and another 12 mos of at least 2X my normal take-home pay is extremely tempting, but I don't love being away from home so often...
