Like vinylbandit said, Cam was out for a couple more pushes after the injury and only noticed the laceration after he froze the puck...so all this "career ending" stuff is bullshit, and there's no way to say how long he'll be out for now.

Anyone know how we're doing on farm goalies? Where's somewhere I can keep up to date with what's going on at Albany?

And does anyone know why Carter has been scratched for the past two games? Because Cole is back and Carter isn't necessary/not playing well, or did something happen?

And as far as Grahame goes, he did extremely well--we need to score during regulation and overtime and not make our netminders carry us the whole way. At least Grahame secured one point for us.

Grahame has been playing very well the past month or so, and even though I've been down on him a lot in the past, I have no problem with him shouldering the load until Cam can return. Nastiuk and Kowalski are pretty well cemented into their starting jobs in the ECHL right now, while Justin Peters has been sitting a lot in Albany. In all likelihood, he'll be the one to come up and keep the bench warm. As for Carter, he wasn't making a huge impact, and at that rate the extra forward spot is going to go to Letowski, who's been working hard in practice all year.

True, Letowski has looked pretty good in the past week, especially.

I think this weekend really showed us how important a team believing in itself is--hopefully the Canes noticed and take a lesson to heart. If we're to make the playoffs we have to turn things around now, because there are plenty of other teams who want it bad.

I like Belfour, though. Back before the Canes existed and I was a little Chicago Blackhawks fan I went down to the ice at pre-game warmups. Belfour, at the time a Blackhawk, looked right at me, motioned up with his head, and flipped me a puck over the glass. I still have it at home.
