We're not even close to being done either. Looking at a possible Top 10 class.

Well that almost assures the big 12 vs. sec winners will play for the title barring one of them doesnt have 2 losses. It also means there is a good chance a big 12 team from the south that loses out on tie breakers could play for the title should missouri knock off the south winner.

LSU's quarterback play has been absolutely miserable this season. Bet they can't wait to get Russell Shepard on the roster next season.

you do realize GT rolled up 326 yards on the ground and 97 thru the air right?

^ and they got completely dogged on the scoreboard.

It doesnt matter how many yards you can amass in a game if you cant put points on the board.

Oh, and 85 of those yards was their only TD run, so its really not that impressive.

But they couldn't keep drives going. I've watched bits and pieces of GT throughout the season and I've been impressed sometimes and unimpressed other times.

This is the first time I watched a full GT game...and call me out in a couple years if I'm wrong...but this shit will not work in major college football. He's lucky that the ACC sucks, or it wouldn't have worked well this year (this offense would get destroyed in the SEC and Big 12). There's a reason Nebraska quit doing shit like this over 10 years ago.

Here's why it won't work, and why it didn't work against UNC.

- the obvious reason that defenses are going to stack 8 in the box against it. And with the athleticism of the players in major programs...you just won't be able to consistently move the ball to score enough points.

- talk about yards all you want...but it's about sustaining drives. you can rip off a 13 yard run and a 22 yard run that make the stats look nice...but then you get stuffed at the line on 1st down, get two yards on 2nd down...and you're looking at a 3rd and 8 and you're fucked. That's the problem with running the ball on almost every play. You're going to break some big runs and get a couple first downs in a row...but at some point you're going to be faced with a third long...and guess what...you can't throw the fucking ball!

- which leads us to the throwing. So you say to yourself..."well let's just get a qb who can run this offense and throw the ball well." Good luck. You might get lucky and get a good throwing QB who can run this offense to commit to your program. Or you could get lucky and develop a good throwing QB....but just take a glance at the shittiness of the QBs State has gone through since Philip left, and you'll see how difficult it is to get a QB who is at least serviceable throwing the ball at a high level. And any QB who can throw the ball will not want to come to Georgia Tech...bottom line. They would have to be fucking retarded. And the really good QBs who can run and throw will still want to go to other schools because they know that in order to get to the NFL they'll have to show that they can throw the ball....which they will not be able to do at GT.

- I don't even think WRs need to be mentioned since GT will be lucky to get a QB who can get them the ball on a semi-consistent basis....but what decent WR in his right mind would want to come to GT so they can block 90% of the plays??

- Last, but not least...there is finally some tape on GT and they are going to get figured out. You saw it today with UNC, and I think you will continue to see it for the rest of this year and the few years that Paul Johnson will be there. He could get away with it at Navy with the caliber of his opponents...but he will not be able to do it on a consistent basis in the ACC when he keeps playing the same teams and coaches who will get use to it and their athletes will be able to handle it on defense.

Those are just my opinions though.

and he might get it with OKST's ability to run all over them causing TT to have to keep scoring

I hope Texas Tech wins the national championship this year, they look dominant again this week

and I think the games over the last few weeks erase all doubts that the Big 12 is better than the SEC this year

Wow, California just got royally screwed. The called a lineman down field that was absurd...

That said, the play before was an AMAZING catch by the wideout..

Also, Nate Longshore should never see a snap again at QB for Cal. Riley is like 55x better and is only a soph...

Yes....they are winning convincingly against a really good Ok State team....

If they beat OU....they should be first even if Alabama beats UF in SEC game.

Looks like they have one hurdle left, Texas could only get through 2 of 3 of the gauntlet now time to see if texas tech can. They will get a bye before Oklahoma but so will the sooners to prepare for this offense. Should be another great one to watch.
