Who do I play at flex, Braylon or Washington in a PPR league?

I know Panthro is down on Braylon, but he was a top-3 receiver in 07 in PPR and non-PPR leagues and Ryan already said he was starting on Monday and Miami's secondary doesn't scare me

"What do you guys think about picking up this Mohamed Massaquo and dropping Burleson?

Our league is PPR, so even a crappy receiver is good. I'm thinking Massaqou could be better since he is #1 and the most talented, and Anderson could return to his for 2 years ago. Or they could at least be coming from behind a lot. The same thing could be said for seattle, though, but they also have Branch to get lots of targets."

Burleson has been fairly productive even with Wallace at QB

Still Massoquai is a #1 WR now, albeit for the Browns, but Seattle's offense is nothing spectacular either

tough call

^^ Harvin for your flex. He is a dual threat as a runner and receiver and he should see alot of action against STL.

^ Contrary to what I said up there I think Garcon has a better matchup. Tennessee's pass defense is in shambles due to injury, but they can stop the run effectively. Manning will have a big game and Garcon will benefit.

both defenses suck...favre won't have the packers monkey on his back so ADP will get more touches...and Peyton is a better QB and Indy throws plenty...I'd run Garcon

i'm not sure it will be worth it to lose the potential upside of Edwards, but he will probably be useless for several weeks anyway...

Always view a 2 for 1 or 3 for 2 trade with the added factor of who you are going to drop to make it work

^ i could drop Mike Wallace, he isn't going to produce like Knox or Hester I would guess anyway.

In my opinion that is a good trade then. Edwards will take a few games to get acclimated with a new offense and QB so dont expect much from him (not to mention Sanchez is not a deep threat). Knox and Hester are both talented WRs and are also very good returners so you should get plenty of points from them.

Only hesitation is that they are on the same team so you will be scrambling on their bye week to fill your roster (which is this weekend by the way).

Pick 2 and one has to be a running back

Berrian vs rams (AP should destroy and I have a feeling farve wont have to throw that much)
R. White vs SF (hasnt been doing shit for me lately)
L. Washington vs Mia (^)
J. jones vs jags (meh)
M. Massaqoui vs buf (just picked him up since edwards left)

I have starting already
MJD
Cotchery
R. Wayne

Ok, so with Walter back healthy(up and down so far) and Roddy White struggling...

Pick 3 to start(* means currently starting):

Sims-Walker vs. Sea *
K. Walter vs. Ari *
Housh vs. Jax(starting either Hasselback or Seneca too) *
R. White vs. SF
P. Garcon vs. Tenn

I see lots of people benching Roddy

This guy is a top 10 wideout with a top 15 QB

He's going to breakout one of these weeks and he'll finish with 1200 and 8

Keep him in your lineups

or
Kurt vs. Astros

(well obviously Kurt if Eli doesnt play ... gametime decision....but even if he plays which one)

I like Kurt because that game is gonna be in the 70's

Oakland has a good pass D, and the Giants will likely be up early and runs Jacobs and Bradshaw all second half

Start one in my flex slot:

Mewelde moore against Det.
Desean Jackson against TB
Brian Westbrook against TB
Cotchery against Mia

Yes, I have a stacked team because it's an 8 team league no PPR. I'm leaning Westbrook, but Desean Jackson has been a bigtime producer thus far and Cotchery may benefit from having Braylon draw some attention.

Need two WR and one WR/RB outta these

RBs (already starting S. Jackson & R. Brown)
Knowshon Moreno (NE)
Donald Brown (@Ten)
Chester Taylor (@StL)
Johnathan Stewart (Was)

WRs
Bernard Berrian (@StL)
Kevin Walter (@Ari)
Dwayne Bowe (Dal) is he 100% yet?
Braylon Edwards (@Mia) will he play this week?
Nate Burleson (Jac) Hasselback might be back

Moreno (Buckhalter out means moreno gets the bulk of the work)
Berrian (Favre is heating up at just the right time and Berrian can score at any time...
Walter(back from injury, and this game will be a shootout. You want a good reciever in a shootout game)

Andre Johnson
Calvin Johnson
Roddy White
Dwayne Bowe
Kevin Walter

I'm thinking AJ CJ and White, but if the Hou/Ari game is a real shootout should I start both Walter and Johnson?

Ok this one is hard for me. Who do I start at flex??

McGahee V. Cin

Steve Smith(NYG) v. Oak

I know McGahee has been scoring a ton of Td's, but last week he rushed for like 14 yards. Rice is getting most of the touches, so Mcgahee could easily have a game where he gets like 20 yrds 0 tds any time now.

What would you do?

I know its irrational, but I really want to play Massaquoi this week. Partly because of his week last week, and he's a Dawg

but I can't justify starting him over Moss and Berrian, and I have Donald Brown at flex.

Guess I'll just have to wait

i really really really want to play Braylon but I'm not gonna do it...I know he doesn't know the system yet, but how much of the system do you have to know to run a slant route or a deep route

I'm in the same boat. I keep waiting for the shoe to drop on mcGahee. Seems like he will be a 14-20 back or a 0 pt back with no in between. I'd probably go steve smith just because oakland is so piss-poor

need some advice for my W/R spot this week:

Nate Washington against Indy

or

Knowshon Moreno against New England?

any thoughts? I think NE's defense is tough, but Denver's offensive line is good too.... Washington has more TDs (3) than Moreno (2) but is Indy's pass defense tough?

question: is anyone still holding onto Donnie Avery besides me? and would anyone start him over glen coffee this weekend? i am in a PPR league.

^^^^ Does that help Manningham? Or does Nicks coming back negate that? I didn't get a chance to see how many snaps he got. I'm trying to fill my W/R spot with 1 of: Kevin Smith, Manningham, Garcon, or Donald Brown. I've got Boldin and Bowe at my receiver spot.

while Berrian hasn't done much yet, he has been hurt, and he was definitely targeted by Favre in the last game....I dunno, if Berrian does well this weekend I think that could be a pretty good trade for you.

i'd try to wait at least and see how this weekend shakes out.

Smith had a good game last week, but I wouldn't say he's "lighting it up". He's a good player for sure, but a consistent #1 receiver? Hard to say with NY's offense.

who should i take?

Play Moreno over Nate Washington for sure. Moreno will get the bulk of the carries this week with Buckhalter out...20-25 carries.

No, don't play Donnie Avery over Coffee....are you nuts? Even in a PPR league...Avery has sucked. This game will be a shootout, but Avery is just too inconsistent. Coffee will run, run and run some more this week. At least 60 yds and 1 TD.

The Giants recievers totally depend on whether manning is out. Even if Manning is out, the Giants will not be passing much in this game. They can win by running the ball all day long, and should do that. I would not start any giants WR if I had better options this weekend. I'd start Kevin Smith, Garvon, and even Donald Brown over Manningham this week.

I think that trade is close. Brees>Shaub and Smith>Berrian. I probably wouldn't do it. Ride the hot hand. Smith probably has peaked a bit and will continue to be a WR1/WR2, but I don't think the Giants continue to pass everywhere. Plus Manning's injury concerns me a little. But Berrian isn't exactly a sure thing either. He's got high potential with Favre throwing to him, but he'll be a 15 point or 3 point play the rest of the year IMO.

^^Is none of the above an option. None of those players are long-term replacements for Gore for the next few weeks. Moore has the most value of those, with Ward a close second. Moore will have a decent game this week, but will get few carries the rest of the way.
