Watched the Final last night.

Barca came out and played their game. Dominated in all facets, and deserved the 3-1 win.

It was unusual to see Man U get toyed with through the midfield like that. They spent so much energy chasing that they couldn't get anything done in the 2nd half. You never see a Manchester team so far back on their heels that all they can play is a counter before giving up the ball and not seeing it again for another 5 minutes.

Messi was the best player on the planet and showed up big on the grandest stage again.

Also, congrats to all of team woma on a great season (looking at the crowd and applauding them). Together with the EPL thread and this one we generated well over a 100 pages of discussion. That seems like quite an achievement since there are maybe only a dozen regular soccer posters.

I know it doesn't exactly fit in here, but I didn't want to create a new thread...does anyone know if the US team practices in Cary are open to the public? I don't watch the local news much, but I haven't seen a peep out of the local media about the fucking US Men's soccer team practicing for a week in Cary.
