Oh yeah that counts for a lot. He sits in the stands so he's not an egomaniac, right? Give me a fucking break.

He's the embodiment of the penultimate Geordie moron.

He has two favorite teams.

Quote :
"I've already explained this, and I never said video game commentary was the reason I like Carlos Tevez.

Quote :
"Last season I took a liking to City and recently picked them over Arsenal as my favorite EPL team. Admittedly, the sky blue color of the team's jerseys was one factor in my decision to support City. More important is Carlos Tevez's presence at Eastlands. I have admired his hustle and grit, what Martin Tyler calls his "bulldog-like approach" on FIFA 10, since watching him play in the 2007 Copa América. The recent additions of David Silva, a player whose style of play I hope to mimic, and Boateng, who plays for my favorite international team, helped to tip the scales in City's favor."

I started watching the EPL weekly last year and did not have a favorite team before the season started. Am I not allowed to change my favorite teams as someone new to EPL football? I still enjoy watching Arsenal because Fabregas and Arshavin are there and Wenger is a clever coach who is entertaining to observe on the touchline. By the way, ignore the username. It was a freshman, Balotelli-like mistake."

to sum up, he was an Arsenal fan because he likes watching Wenger initially but became a City fan when Tevez went there, because Tevez + sky blue jerseys was just too awesome. He also has a queer username.

I think I'll pick Chelsea as my back-up favorite team.

the stupid thing is bailing on City when they're currently top of the table, with a few more games played, but still

Isn't he leaving cuz he misses his family or something though? I guess thats a better reason than going to an arch-rival because of "disrespect". Although I don't see why he doesn't just move them over to england with him, that'd probably be easier. I'm sure he's got plenty of room in his castle.

his wife/gf whatever the fuck she is apparently hated england - i remember reading that even when he was at United.

So if that's what this is, him forcing his way out to go to Argentina or some other Spanish-speaking country to be with them, then i have MAD respect for him. Even in the face of what he did to United.

My guess is either Boca Juniors if he goes to Argentina or Real Madrid if he goes to Spain. If he stays in England, it's just reflective of Manchester City's situation, and how much he hates Mancini. To move to Chelsea (the only realistic/stable team) or Liverpool would probably make me lose even more respect for him. But if he went back to United, I swear I would jizz myself.

That would be the feel-good story of the year.

"Fergie Forgives" - Tevez comes back, becomes an immediate United legend, and United win another Treble. That would be something epic.

dream on

I can't wait to see what Spurs can do vs Chelsea at WHL today. They haven't been in top form and you have to believe at some point that's going to change. Hopefully not today though. No Rafa makes me very scared.

A couple of very entertaining games today, but tomorrow is the game of the week I've been looking forward to most though

Gomes is the most Dr. Jekyll Mr. Hyde goalkeeper I've ever seen. And it's not even game-to-game that he's different. It's like you don't what to expect every other 5 minutes

bc every soccer thread is pretty much the same, I'm putting it in here

I finally watched The Two Escobars last night and it was awesome as hell. I didn't realize they had won at Argentina 5-0 in a WCQ and that Escobar had an offer from Milan. The only thing I was slightly disappointed about was they didn't interview any American journalists from the WC to give an outsider's view on how Colombia looked and acted. Or at least Harkes, to talk about the goal

park starting most likely to disrupt nasri

no berbatov to start, though SAF has been playing the 4-5-1 for big games for a few years now. guess he would rather go rooney than berbs

am surprised to see arsenal go with an unproven 3rd string keeper to make his first epl start against the most successful club in the epl's history...though almunia isnt great, hed be a safer choice since he is fit again

that's a very unlucky penalty to give away, he slipped and had his hand on the ground for support and Nani kicked the ball into it. I can see why it was given though

hahahah what the fuck Rooney

what?

I meant it would have been interesting to hear what the US players thought about the players' reactions to the goal, if they could sense the playing-with-fear mentality they had
