Stop sounding so butthurt, ernie. Just admit the Giants are the better team today.

Except not even most NC State fans thought we could beat Clemson. The Giants were super confident coming into this.

There's no doubt they are, I've not said they aren't. I'm gonna keep ragging you about the refs, though. You do that shit in baseball threads, basketball threads, Giants threads. It's always the refs' fault your team loses.

Probably the least surprising "upset" of the playoffs. Packers had the worst D in the playoffs and Giants came in hot. All those turnovers and drops are no good though , just a sloppy game by the Pack.

Cruz has been great this year (helped me win my fantasy league), but i wonder how much of his success should be credited to Eli. Amani Tommer, Plaxico, Steve Smith, Mario Manningham, Nicks, Cruz. perhaps the Giants are just great at finding WR talent, but i think Eli should get some love for his continual ability to develop great connections with different receivers.

welp, to borrow some of yall's logic, there's no need for the SF/NYG game next week, because they already played this year, and we know who the better team was. To force them to play again would be unfair to SF and would make the regular season meaningless

hey aaronburro it was bullshit when we played UNC in the ACC tourney in Sid's first year and lost, since we already beat them in the regular season

no matter who wins the super bowl, Philly should get consideration for first because the only thing that kept them out was a bad loss

Quote :
"The North County Times suggests that the Chargers may make an offseason run at free agent Mario Williams.
Beat writer Scott Bair is only speculating, but the dots connect. Williams held his own in five early-season starts (five sacks, forced fumble) in Wade Phillips' new 3-4 scheme this past season, and new Chargers DC John Pagano is a former Phillips pupil. Williams' ideal position remains 4-3 defensive end, but he'll probably go where the money is best. On Monday, Texans coach Gary Kubiak did indicate an interest in re-signing Williams before free agency. "

Panthers are already slightly over the cap. They won't have any problem getting under and maybe signing a couple of mid salary players, but no way in hell could we afford to give Mario 100+ mil after we already paid Charles Johnson 70 million.

"Manning to retire?"

he'd be dumb not to, and I have very little doubt that he will.

I was at an event with my wife's co-workers, and spoke with a an orthopedic surgeon about the surgeries he had. Even if you assume that everything went 100% as planned, he's lost about 15 degrees of head rotation to each side. That alone would be disastrous-- not even getting into the re-injury exposure and increased risk of catastrophic injury that could result in paralysis.

not worth it.

there were other things he was talking about as well, but mostly over my head in terms of neurological things that make no sense to a guy like me.
