My husband is going to work all day today and he got up early to make sure I had everything I need right by the bed before he leaves. Sweet boy. I get to spend all day alone after they do my morning fetal monitoring because they moved me down to vitals check every 8 hours. I have one "chore.". I have to make a list of things we need to buy and do in case he decides to come early again and we can't stop him next time.

I don't even watch The Walking Dead or any zombie stuff, but I had a dream that I was in a zombie world with dropdeadkate. Probably because she didn't have any of her cutty things with her.

I think we both died.

I don't know if I have bad circulation or what, but for the last few months my hands and feet have been getting painfully cold. The only thing that makes them feel better is getting in a hot bath or shower. Even sitting right in front of a heater or blow dryer doesn't usually help. And I don't even have to be anywhere particularly cold for them to start feeling that way.

^ I don't know how cold your hands get, but mine are usually little icicles, but my extremities have always been that way, in fact I cannot sleep with covers over my feet because it feels unnaturally warm since they are used to being frozen. I have always attributed this to poor circulation.

have you gained weight or sat around more than usual lately? sometimes that contributes to poor circulation.

if it is painfully cold, and it is a recent thing perhaps you should ask a doctor about it next time you see one? it might be something or just part of aging.

I feel your pain. I've had this issue for awhile. I didn't even know about it until my doctor pointed out my blue-ish toned skin under my finger nails. I asked her if there was anything I could do about it, but all she had was wear "wear warm socks and gloves".

One of my best friends from high school (and groomsmen in my wedding) was stabbed to death 12 hours after my daughter was born last Friday. I know it's dumb, but I keep thinking how if we were still close friends he would've been at the hospital in Raleigh with us instead of back home

Wilmington, he has had some serious issues with drugs for the last few years. In and out of rehab, in jail, etc. He was in a bad part of town when it happened, but still it's pretty shocking.

My husband used my 5 gallon bucket that I use for fish tank water to mix a cleaning solution in so now he is making fish tank water a half gallon at a time to fill my tank. It was super low, too. Poor guy.

I am apparently thinking a lot of things.

We need to remember to turn the heat back on when we turn it off in the middle of winter.

Our front door creaks and will actually open itself if the deadbolt isn't locked during certain weather conditions. It's locked and the rape lock is on, but it's creaking a lot this morning and keeps freaking me out that the door is opening or someone is trying to get in.

I want to make a thread, but I can't think of a way to phrase the subject that makes sense.

My niece was born at pretty much the same age and she got sent home in less than a week. I think it all depends on the health of the baby. The docs say the baby is healthy and weighs about 4 pounds (niece weighed 4 pounds 2 ounces) and they gave me steroids to develop his lungs so he has a good chance of not having to stay too long. I would definitely assume he would stay at least a little longer than normal.

To answer the tiny baby car seat question:

If I recall correctly, if they are under a certain weight, preemie or full term, they will do a car seat challenge before you're allowed to bring the baby home. The baby will be put in the car seat for a period of time (30 minutes?) while hooked up to a monitor to ensure that the baby doesn't experience any breathing difficulties etc while in the car seat.

We didn't have to do it with Silas, but we had to do it with Amelia.

Interesting. Thanks for the info. He is apparently one pound heavier than he is expected to be at this time. That of course is all approximate but I was told he was "well fed." It just supports my theory that we are a couple weeks further along than they thought at first.

I don't ovulate normally. My previous cycle was 8 weeks instead of 4. According to my date of last period I would actually be due a month earlier. They calculated my due date by fundal size and length of fetus.
