The Falcon is just a Corellian YT-1300 stock light freighter which has been heavily modified. It's just like a production vehicle which was customized. A good analogy would be like a minivan on the road nowadays. You don't see many which are modified for racing, but I'm sure it's been done before. If you've ever played X-Wing Alliance, the Azzameen family has 2 YT-1300's (Selu and Sabra) and one YT-2000 (Otana).

I think she's misunderstanding what ericnazares meant. He's saying that the holo-chess board isn't a standard feature on ships in the Falcon's line, therefore Solo is a ricer for adding extraneous modifications that don't improve the performance of the ship.

Of course, a six-disc CD changer and power windows are extraneous mods that don't improve performance, but you don't see anyone calling people who buy the upgrade package "ricers."

Yoda learned from QGJ and gave OBK this homework/training, which is how OBK was able to let Darth Vader strike him down (and become more powerful than DV can imagine), and it was thrown in during the last four minutes to explain why you get ghosts walking around at the end of VI.
