2001 Buell P3 Blast (added the P3 to be complete)
492cc single cylinder engine
Miles: 4,351
Newer Dunlop Tires (about 1000 miles on them)
Gets about 65 miles per gallon around town!!!!!
Automatic Choke!!

Replaced the PCV (pressure control valve)
Replaced exhaust port gasket and ring
Biker’s Blvd in Raleigh replaced engine mounts and full range of seals to fix small oil leak. I have all the paperwork on the repairs!
Last oil change was about 1200 miles ago
New battery was bought less than 6 months ago!
The bike will come with a rebuild manual (the hayne’s style manual)
The bike will come with a blue/gray/red colored Bieffe Helmet

The bike was originally owned by Ray Price Harley Davidson and was used as a bike in the Motorcycle Safety Course. It was purchased after a year of use in the safety course with only about 800 miles. There are a few cosmetic blemishes on the bike.

The bike was knocked over once during a heavy thunderstorm while it was still covered. I never laid the bike over while riding. I have the title in my possession, so the transfer could be made fairly quickly and easily. I can provide more pictures if interested. Just drop me an email!

The Kelly Blue Book value on this bike (for TRADE-IN VALUE) is $1,780, and this assume an average mileage on the bike of about 19,000 miles. My bike has only 4,400 miles on it!
Price: $2,000

Email me at andrew@finelineprototyping.com for higher resolution photos!

I just don't get it. Buell makes bikes for midgets, I mean dwarfs. They don't fit me at all. But when I find that very special, incredibly hot, Messican midget hooker, that's what I'm going to buy her to ride for when we go on trips.

I'm selling a Joe Rocket Meteor 5.0 Textile Sport Jacket. I've had it for a little less than one year. This is a great all season jacket. There is one spot on the front of the jacket with minor rash from when I fell going about 5mph.

Check out this website for details and pictures. Mine is the grey/black.
http://www.newenough.com/joe_rocket_meteor_5point0_jacket_page.htm

I'm asking $75, but the price is negotiable.

http://raleigh.craigslist.org/mcy/212693927.html

the good:
factory stage 1 jet kit
bmc race air filter
scorpion slip on exhaust
aftermarket front and rear springs, will have to check on the brand, make it a very good handling bike.
1 down in the front
"low" riser bars Brand new battery from suzuki (2 weeks old) clear title.
the bike has 11,400 (ride it daily went up 200 miles from last posting)

the bike is in very good shape, and a recent tune up with new plugs, oil change, filter cleaning, carb cleaning.

the bad:
previous owner laid it down on left side at low speed (10mph). all cosmetic damage repaired. only damage still left is a slight amount of rash on the left side engine cover. a new cover can be picked up for 50 dollars if this is an issue for the new owner.

the previous owner cut the rear fender off. i was going to put on a undertail kit for 80 dollars (lights and everything included) but my trucks engine started dying so I need to sell the bike.

I've only owned the bike for 2 months. It has given me no trouble and I have ridden it 1500 miles since owning it.

I have changed the oil, plugs, brake fluid, coolant, cleaned the air filter and carbs on the bike.

i would be keeping this bike if i did not need to rebuild my trucks engine. the truck has 210,000 miles.. and it's about time for a refreshing!

please dont hesitate to call me at 919 412 6586. If you want to take the bike for a test ride you need to give me CASH IN HAND so that if you drop it, you buy it.

here is the link to a bunch more picts: if they dont work just call or email me

How minor is minor in terms of tears and what not? Cause if your in a larger wreck and god forbidd you start slidding, those small "insignificant" tears will become the weak stress point and tear the whole jacket apart. Just fyi, even though it's just 5mph...

is this a good deal

how much would it cost to fix?

im thinking about maybe getting an older motorcycle for some light riding ( to school, errands, and work which is 7 minutes away) and not looking to spend over 1000

Also interested in the shadow or the nighthawk or something similar. Please post here if you see any good deals

if anyone sees any good deals on those bikes please post here

^old motorcycles are usually nothing but trouble. if you dont mind going through the carbs and replacing cracked up old gaskets, rebuilding them, etc. replacing old tires, dealing with other quirky shit that they develop then you can rock and roll.

my sv is a 2000 and i had to go through the carbs this weekend replacing misc. gaskets bc they were getting old! imagine how an 80's bike would be.

my 88 hawk and quirky shit with it but it was a vtwin so not too bad to redo the carbs. imagine having to redo/sync a 4cylinder.. fug that.

"1997 GSXR Custom. - $2000

I am relisting this bike due to the fact that it qot a lot of attention the last time I listed it.The difference this time is,the bike is not running. It needed a tune up prior to me selling it last time and is sitting with year old gas in it.Of all the people who initally came to look at it someone set the choke. That has caused the plugs to foul out,now it won't start. So here's the deal I am gonna either sell the bike "As Is" before this weekend. If not when the Suzuki place down the road opens Monday it's going there for a major Tune up and I will relist it for a lot more money. They dealorship has already offered me $1600 just like it sits,so I am sure it's worth atleast $2000 or they couldn't make any money on it.I would like to get atleast that,or I am willing to accept partial trades, for cars, truck, motors, boats,or anything of value.Let me know what you have or what you can offer. There is more than $4000 in custom paint and polished aluminum pieces on the bike. Thanks for looking,as always you can call me at 919-868-3143 or e-mail me at retrodaddy428@aol.com,my name is Mike"

Doesn't seem to be a bad deal if you have a little know how... seems like a simple tune up is in order.

fuck that piece of shit

some nigger went out drag racing it. it runs like shit and now he is trying to sell it

look at how niggered up it is

d&d pipe, chromed out, cham. paint job.

i saw a 750 early gixxer that was modded to hell. but it wouldnt turn over.

it's pretty easy to lie about that shit.

if it was just fouled plugs why doesnt the lazy fuck just change them really fast.

i bet if it does run it's missing 2nd gear etc.

they are fun lil bikes that you can tinker with f2 front ends blah blah what not to try and make better. in stock for they suck when ppl sink enough money into them they become acceptable. if they had a more initial uptake i doubt ppl now would follow them as closely as they do. ppl like to root for the underdog.. this bike is pretty much that. but u probz know this

riding the sv and the hawk there is no comparison. although i have aftermarket springs on the sv, so did the hawk. the hawk was sloshy (the rear end would constantly bottom out, and i would get thrown the fuck around in turns) and slow. the sv aint no speed demon but the 25 hp would tear the hawk a new one.

i dont really understand the cult following anymore after owning one. although thye are good bikes

It's the same kind of thing as, say, the Honda single cam 750 following, or maybe the Honda CBX cult following or the Kawasaki KZ1300 following. Or the Yahama TDM 850 or the GTS1000 RADD. Or maybe the Moto Guzzi followings...not Ducati so much as they've been pretty mainstreamed in the last 20 years. Folks are the same way about BMWs.

It's called character. And the Hawk has it. It was a v-twin sport/standard in an era where everybody wanted a high-strung inline four

^ tr00 tr00

it must have been way ahead of it's time back in the day, that's why it never sold really well. actually, its still available in europe with very few mechanical changes as a sport-tourer under the name of Duaville, and it still doesnt sell very well. too slow and dumb looking with all the touring fairings.

for me it is the value. there are faster bikes out there, there are better looking bikes, there are better performing bikes. but if you look at the overall value, price vs. performance, ergonomics, reliability, looks, fun factor and anti-cookie-cutter-factor, hawk wins hands down IMO. there's a couple more bikes i would love to own, but since i can only afford one, lil hawk seems to be able to do everything i ever wanted to do and excel in it.

it kinda like bangin a hot momma. there may be better lookin young bitches out there, but i aint puttin up with their shit.
