i think anti-air GUN emplacments might be a good idea. or have one latched onto the stingers...some superfast firing cannon that sprys the air, but less powerful than the one on the carrier

The thing I like about the awards system is that it gives you an individual goal to shoot for if you don't feel like playing just to win. They are like mini-quests.

I've given up on awards. I mean if I get them great, but after getting frustrated too many times trying to get a badge or ribbon in a round I'm tired of it.

Honestly I haven't played in a few days, not really since the PB problem a few pages back. The game isn't all that fun unless you have at least one other person in a server with you, and since Breezer isn't playing anymore and he's usually the one I team up with, I haven't been in much.

I don't think I'm going to renew the TWW Ventrilo server when it expires next month. It's not getting enough use. Only 3 or 4 people use it on a regular basis.

tell me more about this ventrilo thing, I'm interested. I need a new mic though, bad, I'm using one that came with my stereo system I got when I was 12. It's like a handheld mic, like that you'd sing into. It's pretty awesome!

Yeah I get frustrated too with my badges and ribbons and stuff, but not too bad. The other night I was trying to get my vet heal and I thought it was revives. I had 15 revives and I was like WTF (where the fuck) is my badge!

Yeah well part of VoIP is talking to each other. I mean if you are telling a teammate where someone is and you get shot from behind, it's natural to yell "shit!" or something like that. I do it sometimes whether the mic is on or off.

I don't make it a point to complain a lot on Vent, but it comes up sometimes from everyone and you deal with it. It's also fun to make fun of the other players in the server and just be social.

VoIP makes multiplayer games much more fun. It's easier to coordinate and change things at the last second.

place the Spotted cursor over a helo or jet or something, and it'll say Enemy Slick Inbound


as commander, right click on a squad and it'll give a list of voice commands it sends to that squad only, as in "Artillary Available"

yeah I don't mean the surprised yelling or anything, but some people just hold the B button down and give you a run down of everything they're doing.

Speaking of voice commands and the like. Is there a way I can turn off when commanders use the spotting function, some of them use it like 10 times in a row. It's ridiculously annoying.

commander spotting is helpful though

it's almost like cheating if you are on Ventrilo with the commander. They can sit there and spot out enemies around you and you can just hunt them down. Like a legal wallhack...

btw I'm just fucking with you maugan - I want to get a joystick so I can start taking on some jets and attack choppers. luckily the mouse/keyboard is perfect for circling a flag with a blackhawk and raining fire from above.

once the score update kicks in this morning, I'll have gunny! less than two months

and ventrillo/teamspeak isn't as bad in BF2 as it is in CS:S...as soon as one guy dies, he just brings up the map

they give you a tactical advantage being able to spawn on your squad leader if you need to
it really helps rack up the points

Interesting little preview article on Special Forces on Gamespot today. One of the things I'm excited to see implemented is the grappling hook. It may not be terribly practical in some situations, but I've always felt compelled to try to figure ways to get on top of buildings.

pc versions can have servers up to 64 players

Pilot on american side on FuShe Pass

the game took about 20 minutes I suppose

the 3 teamwork points were from bombing their radar dish and UAV



they actually won the map before, and the one before that was close
the difference is: there were no planes in them

I just got done playing the Reality minimod.

I like most of the changes, but sniper rifles are now one shot one kill pretty much no matter where you hit.

This probably is true to life, but I'm not sure this will make for fun gameplay.
