I've got a Remington 870 Police Magnum in parkerized finish with ghost ring sights and Speedfeed stock (holds 4 shells). 18.5" fixed I/C barrel.

Very good condition with the usual wear on the barrel from an extended mag clamp, and very minimal wear on a couple edges.

I'll see if anyone wants to go $475 without the extended mag. I am willing to get pics within a few days, but would prefer any serious inquiries to just see it in person.

Winchester 1300 Defender with Collapsible Stock with pistol grip & 6 shell holder installed
Tactical light and laser mounted to 7 shot tubular mag
Comes with an additional Pistol Grip

It'll shoot rifled and buckshot slugs (I've used this gun for target shooting, 8 shot only put through it). It'll chamber a 3" mag. Solid shotgun, I'm considering a Remmington 870 Marine Magnum to replace it.

$375 OBO

I will give a discount to anyone at NSCU who wants the course. $85 per person with a minimum of 3, $75 with 4 up to 5 as that is the limit per class. We do it in one day. You must pass the written and demonstrate an ability to fire 30 rounds SAFELY from distances of 3,5,7 yards. I will provide a revolver in 38 special if you need a handgun. You provide a box of ammunition (if you can find it).

Contact me via- foxtrotrv4@yahoo.com, or a pm here but I am on the go quite often, so try the yahoo first. Or you can reply here.
"

I sent you an email last week but haven't heard back.

Does anyone know of any other individuals that can do ccw training? I've got 3 people that want to do it.

I sent him an email as well, but no reply.

ANYWAY......

I have a Chinese Norinco SKS for sale. It's matching numbers (all pieces matching) and in the best shape of any SKS i've ever seen. there is not one blemish or imperfection on the gun. Has less than 30rounds though the gun. I have spent close to 4hrs cleaning all the cosmoline out of the gun, and making it perfect.

$350 or best offer. I'd like a local deal first, but will ship on buyers dime.

^^when do you all plan on taking the course (with this guy, if he ever responds). I'll join if I can, and we'll all save $10.

I haven't been shooting for long, so hopefully I can pass the demonstration

^yeah, i sent him a couple messages (email and PM's) and haven't heard back either

i'd be in on taking the class as well- i also asked him where he did his range stuff and if he took care of all the paperwork (or at least had it available and would help me go through it, because I haven't checked it out before, and I can just imagine it being a pain in the butt)

I know he is friends with gk2004 so someone might try asking him if he knows what is up with his friend

and as for the shooting demonstration, I saw someone doing it before, and it didn't look bad at all- the targets were close, and the time alotted for each "draw" or "grouping" was more than enough

to be honest, i don't know

i don't think that matters too much- but i have no idea (most course from what i understand are accepted state to state, not county to county- like the one they do at PDHSC is accepted in like 21 or 27 states)

Charlie Lett is who I took my class through a few years ago. Assuming that he hasn't changed, it's a pretty good course. He was confused on one or two laws but it wasn't bad and otherwise was really good. Shooting test was straightforward with no bullshit too. I'd definitely recommend him to anybody that's in the area.

If you go to a class where the teacher thinks he knows all the laws...I would be a little worried. There are always very nit picky questions and situations that pose major questions. For example, this question has come up several times and has been answered by an ATF agent, ALE agent and a sheriff...they all had different answers.

I have a friend who owns a bar, he constantly closes at 3 -4 am. They were robbed not too long ago and now he wants to carry a gun. Is he allowed to carry in his own bar, if so, when?

ALE - You can only carry when the bar is closed and no one is being served alcohol.
AFT - Its your bar, you can conceal anytime.
Sheriff - You can carry in the back of the bar and office, but not where the alcohol is sold.

From the way the law is written, I have understood it to be that if it is your bar, you can carry where ever you want in it.

all that matters is how the judge interprets it

but if it comes to that you probably don't care what the judge says, otherwise, no one should be the wiser

so it's not clear, but it looks like if the owner registers himself as a security guard (which may mean he has to take the PPSB class and qualify with the state, security guards have to qualify with weapons just like cops do) he could carry anywhere in his bar

but, like with most laws, it isn't terribly clear

i just heard back from the guy on here who offers the class, and here is what he said:

Quote :
"Sorry for the delay - out in the boonies,

The course isn't hard, watch the DVD, take the test, cold demo's on the operation of the basic handguns, ammo, etc, in line with the basic NRA Pistol course.

Hitting the target from 3,5,7 yards isn't hard on the range with no one trying to kill you. I look for good muzzle control, safe handling, finger off the trigger, slow and deliberate, no gunslinging.
"

he also gave me his number and told me to give him a call... so who all would be interested in taking a joint class?

I did check some time ago with the NC AG's office, and was told that the land lord or his agent may carry concealed or exposed on the property, providing he is not restricted by law from possessing a handgun.

I have a full size Springfield loaded 1911 that I would be willing to trade for a smaller 1911. It has a little holster wear but not bad at all and I have 5 mags (I think 5) for it and the leather holster that I got from pdhsc (a local guy makes them).

I am only willing to trade for another 1911 (smaller version) not sell

so, i see you have an extended ambi safety on it, and have wooden grip panels stacked on top of rubber ones. If I had a small 1911 i wanted rid of, that would be a great trade.

Anyone know if that Jims Guns class is $60 and that's all you need to pay to carry? Do you have to pay for the permit too? If so, how much is that?

After you take the class, the permit is $80 plus $10 for fingerprinting. so another $90.

Permit is good for 5 years, renewal is $75.

If you need a duplicate made, thats $15

From the Wake Co Sherrif's Office (set by state legislature I believe so should be same statewide, except for Durham)

Quote :
"

Charlie is still teaching the class. His number is 919-552-7146. The class is $60 and the permit is close to $80 IIRC. That was 4 years ago.

Pretty sure there's an exception written into the law that allows owner/manager to carry.

call up some pawn shops and see if they have a Marlin Model 60. you should be able to find them for under $75 all day. And those Model 60s will out shoot a stock 10/22 period! and since you are just wantin it for a truck gun that would be a good choice, if you want to modify it though, get a 10/22

Anybody interested in a ugly gun? Intratec TEC-22, with all paperwork, factory hard case, 1 factory long mag, 1 aftermarket 50 round mag, both function 100% if you use high velocity 22 ammo and keep it lubed and clean.

paperwork as in the original factory paperwork. I am not the first owner, but this gun was sold with all the original items with it. This gun IS SEMI AUTO ONLY. It has been tested, the catch spur on the trigger extension works 100% of the time, and all factory parts are uncut, no worn/filed trigger group items.

All that said, if this was a transferable tec 22, it would not be listed on TWW
