i'm not throwing him under the bus...his late season performance helped us get into the playoffs, but he hasn't been doing much this post season (save his slapshot in which brindy poked the rebound out to jussi for the game winner in game 4)

I love Babs; he's just clearly not ready for the playoffs yet. All this means is that we get him at a much better price this summer. His value took an insane spike there during the last month of the season; now we should get him back for a quite reasonable deal.

^after the last 2 games that's understandable, but i've blocked that out of my memory. boston had a few bad games in a row and they rebounded, there's no reason we can't do that too. Boston might be a little too confident right now. They won the last 2 games easily, maybe we'll get lucky and they take us for granted early on and we can get out to a good start and take the lead early.

If we come out aggressive and skate hard to every puck we have a chance..


and if Cam Ward puts his superman cape back on and makes some crazy saves then we have a REALLY good chance.

5pm-6pm drinking downtown @ some outdoor free music concert
6-6:30pm $1 wings at Minj (the best wings in the world...literally, you get the entire wing)
6:45-7pm retreat to living quarters and turn volume to 11.
10:15pm go back downtown and celebrate the Canes victory

^^ not going to lie when i say that 2 nights ago at the RBC was nearing the same level of disheartening sports action as the panthers vs cardinals, but i think we did gain a little momentum in the fact that we really did attack the net more than they did. we were overall agressive and that was obvious from the S.O.G count, we just couldnt put it in.

i think if we simply capitalize on 2-3 of those chances tonight, and keep the same level of intensity, along with playing SMART hockey and get good backchecking in the defensive zone, we have a very good shot at winning.

^^i agree, we need to take advantage of the chances in front of the net, but i'm confident in our offense.

I'm worried about the defense. They are giving up way too many easy shots and putting Cam Ward in really bad spots. Cam Ward can't be superman every game for us, if our defense steps its game up and gets aggressive and makes plays for us we will have a good chance. All you can ask for is a chance to win, a few weird bounces of the puck can decide the outcome of the game, i just hope we get some good bounces on shots and get some good looks on rebounds in front of the net. Their goalie gives up a ton of rebounds, we just need some good bounces tonight. lets hope we get them

Yeah Boston has caught a lot of good bounces throughout the series and I feel they have gotten a bit of help from the refs throughout as well. It would definitely be very very big to get the first goal in the game and quiet down the crowd and let the guys relax a little bit. Our defense has got to be solid as we saw in the last game if we make a mistake they take advantage and put it in the back of the net. We also, as others have said, GOT to take advantage of our scoring chances. We had plenty of chances to get back into the game tuesday night but couldnt finish and on the road in a game 7 you better finish every good chance they give you because there probably wont be nearly as many as we had last game. The Cullen LaRose line looked pretty good last game we need the same kinda effort from Staal and the boys. Maybe tonight is the night someone like Wallin or Brindy come up with a big goal to help get us going.
