^ I think Grossman is the obvious pick considering Philly's problems. I would not want to start Bradford against GB ever.

I got a question for you guys about the league that my wife is in. Its an all-girl league with a bunch of girls who have never played before. Well one team has a girl as the manager and her husband as the co-manager, and they just had the following trade pass through

Give:

Josh Freeman
Shonn Greene

Get:

Tom Brady
Fred Jackson

apparently none of the other girls were paying enough to veto the trade, but that kinda undermines the whole league when a dude is making trades like that. What do you think about this? My wife is the commissioner so she could do whatever she wants to fix something.

that is completely unfair. you are talking about top 5 in each category, possibly top three vs marginal top 15-20 at best

^ Def Unfair in my opinon.

Anyone else have an opinon, I am struggling with this one.

Also just noticed the guy with Rivers has Orton has his back up (same bye week).

Was thinking about offering:

Big Ben (other QB is Freeman)
Jackson (other WRs are Steve Smith, Dez Bryant, Hakeem Nicks)

for

Rivers
Lloyd (He has Andre Johnson, so LLoyd is his second best and been sucking it up)

thoughts?

the bigger issue is that orton just got benched so the bye week part is irrelevant. for orton, every week is like a bye week now.

On your end, yeah that'd be a great trade IMO. I would just be surprised if it got accepted. If I'm the other guy, I'd reject it. I'd just drop Orton and pick up the best QB I can find on the waiver wire to start this week and then stick with Rivers after that.

Actually, I just remembered about Johnson being hurt and out for awhile. Maybe that trade would get accepted after all. But yeah, for you I definitely think it'd be a good trade.

Trade is lopsided, but its their first time playing and I doubt its for much money, if any. Let it go and chalk it up as a learning experience.

At QB im starting Cam and at WR I'm starting Steve Smith and Reggie Wayne.

I think that it was a good trade for both of you, with you getting slightly more out of it. You have other good receivers and I think that you'll see PR outperform BR fairly significantly down the stretch. He jumped on that trade because he is screwed at WR with the AJ injury coupled with the fact that his 2nd best WR (Lloyd) is on a week 6 bye.

^^You would be looking at a range since you are talking about giving up either a #1 reciever or a 2/3 reciever. Anything from Steven Jackson/Frank Gore/Blout/Felix Jones/Bradshaw/Addai/Greene/Best/Hightower/Wells/Starks/Lynch/DeAngelo/Ingram type deal (the top couple are very optimistic).

Guys like Foster, Peterson, McFadden, MJD, Jackson, Turner, Forte, Rice are out of the question.

Of course this is all based on the wr situation of the person you are trading with, but these are just the most realistic options.

Picked up Mark Clayton off the waiver. I'm leading the league and get last pick from the WW every week. Hopefully, he'll be the goto wideout to finally emerge from the rams, but I imagine they'll be abysmal all year long.

I got offered Fred Jackson or Arian Foster for Miles Austin.

I am 99% sure I am going to make a trade, but I can't decide between the two RB's. I am a little hesitant with Foster's injury, but I feel like he will be better if he gets back to 100%

My WR corp is solid, so I can deal with not having Austin.

[Edited on October 13, 2011 at 1:00 AM. Reason : ^^I picked up Green off waivers a few weeks ago, been riding the bench the whole time though]

Time to move on CJ2K.

I'm thinking of offering Ahmad Bradshaw & Lagarrette Blount for him. Overspending?

I have Forte, Gore & Daniel Thomas at RB.

justin - Foster is looking like a #1 RB and Freddy has been doing really well as of late too.

Either would be a fair trade if you got the WR's to carry the load you'll miss from Austin.

go pack - maybe overspending - maybe not - depends on how he does from here on out. It's looking like overspending now, but if you feel he'll go back to his old form soon, might be worth it if you have one of those two guys already riding your bench

^ Blount has sat on my bench for the most part. Bradshaw's upcoming schedule looks rough. It's a risk, but I've got the help across the board (Stafford, Megatron, Dez, Brandon Marshall, Tebow, and the other RB's), so I feel like it's a gamble worth going for. I gotta think Johnson turns this thing around in the 2nd half, esp. if Hasselbeck can continue to play well and the running game opens up.

Justin - I would go with Foster. FJax is having an awesome year, just not sure he keeps it up. Remember, millions of folks spent their first draft pick on Foster. Abandoning him now is almost suicide. If you have the help at WR, I would do it.

I hate the people in my league. I have the top 2 scoring players in all of fantasy in Rodgers and Newton and have made it clear I'm willing to deal either of them, but nobody is willing to offer a decent trade.

And it's a 14 team league, some people are starting terrible quarterbacks, and I still can't get anything decent.

real tough scenerio here. i'm without vjax and andre johnson due to various reasons. pick three (of the shittiest, worthless dogshit wr3s)

pick 3

r meachem vs tb...does it matter, brees spreads it around
n burleson vs san fan
jacoby jones vs stl
j knox vs min
g little vs oak

the scuttlebut surrounding a gates is that he'll be back post off week. think he'll be back to semi-productive? 60 yards and 1/2 td a game territory?

^hmmm tough. I think I would go Knox, Jones, and one of Little or Meachem. Little is supposed to have moved into the 2nd starting WR role for the Raiders, and Brees spreads the ball around so much, so maybe little.

Would the offer of Mendenhall and Garcon get me any type of RB upgrade? I mean I know it won't get me Rice, Foster, or Peterson....but Chris Johnson, Turner, etc possibly?

^its possible, depends on the person and how much they wanna trade really

So I have a trade that I am really considering.

Right now my QB is Schaub.

TRADE IS:
I GET--Mike Vick and LT

he gets--Beanie Wells

The only problem here is that Beanie is about my best RB.
I also have--tolbert, mccluster, the law firm, and felix jones.
do I make the trade and see what vick does for a week...and possibly trade him for a better RB or what?

^^if you do it fast. garcon's stock will probably plummet soon because he is not going to turn in consistent 7/100/1 games. find somebody who is at dying at WR and try to pick up a RB2.

although i think that turner may be too much for mendenhal and garcon.

Here's what I have, and what's on the waiver.... should I drop Holmes already?

-WR-
Pierre Garcon
DeSean Jackson
Jordy Nelson
Santonio Holmes

-Waiver-
Mario Manningham
Victor Cruz
Deion Branch
Hines Ward
Darrius Heyward-Bay
Malcolm Floyd

Should I pick up one of the Giant's receivers? I'm looking for a stronger WR core.

I would not take that trade. LT is dead... Jets are pushing hard to have Greene be their #1 back.

So you're trading for Vick who is at best 6 points better than Schaub (by average) and giving up a back that averages 15 points per week for LT who averages 4-5 points per week.

Push harder for a better RB to make that trade.
