Rationale for Birdman being at or near the top of the list: take away the dirty play and he doesn't make a roster spot. Probably the only one you can say that about on the list.

Also a healthy D Wade is higher on the list.

have you not watched the Heat at all since they signed Birdman?

dude has been one of their best players

pretty sure you're calling him dirty soley based on his tattoos

and what does being healthy have to do with being dirty?

Birdman is not really dirty. He just has a lot of tats and a lot of swagger for a white dude.

Wade can't make dirty plays from the training table...and probably doesn't want to drive and flop as hard.

Yes, Birdman has been a good acquisition. His role is to grab rebounds, defend, set moving screens, commit hard foouls, get garbage buckets, get under opponents skin, and be an enforcer. He does exactly what is expected of his role, which is do the dirty work. And he does it with attitude.

Similar to Rodman's role on the Bulls, but obviously not nearly as good a rebounder and not quite as good at defending as Rodman.

Saw a stat like 4 days ago that birdman was 34-40 fg in his last ~7 games. Jr smith was 34-112 fg during his last 7

Rockets dont need a pg at all. They have harden as the primary ball handler and lin and beverley as backup options

A healthy howard makes them title contenders assuming they dont give up too much in the sign and trade.

Howard is such a key piece right now because neither miami or okc have a true center (if birdman flies the coup and thabeet doesnt break out) next year and a harden/howard combo is just deadly on offense

i feel bad for hansbrough and weird about the media and fans somehow deciding birdman 'won' that exchange.

he lost his cool and made a cowardly hit on the wrong player.

on what planet is that 'winning'?

the pacers don't know how to throw a high pass without lobbing it so basically anyone can guard hibbert.

chalmers can effectively guard hibbert.

Lebron didn't run down the court crying. He ran away from the situation to hold his tongue. Both players iniated contact and the "tie" should have went to the offensive player.

it was certainly a questionable call, but regular players have to deal with questionable calls all the time without running baseline to baseline making faces and talking to themselves, showing up the refs

it was a clown reaction, bro

Lebron is gonna either drop 45, 18 and 12 in a convincing Game 7 win, or have one of the more epic choke jobs in the league in the last 10 years

My money is on the former, but we'll see

lebron is a bitch but it would NOT be a choke job if he fails in game 7. He has had to do EVERYTHING this series and has been pretty brilliant.

it would be a TEAM choke job, they have been heavy favorites to win it all since before the season started

the rest of the "big 3" has been absent this series

remember when wade and bosh used to be good players?

I don't agree with the heavy favorites thing. Maybe with the rondo, granger, and rose/deng/heinrich injuries yes but that was 2 better, younger rosters than them with knicks and celtics as potential tough outs.

Yeah in hindsight, indiana is the only team that could have possibly challenged them.

I think there is something happening inside the big 3. It's not big 3 anymore, it's one-man's team as old Cleveland. Maybe the other two sacrifice too much for LBJ, or maybe they are tired after two yrs being in the finals, or maybe they can't get along with each other very well.
I believe they can win game 7. But the finals versus spurs will be even tougher.

I thought a healthy Bulls team could've given them a good run, but they beat the Celtics last year and they are just a year older, even if they had Rondo...Knicks suffered a similar thing that the Heat have over the last few games, where their star player had no help

I think the Heat will get into the Finals

And I think the Spurs will win. And I don't think it goes 7 games.

Popovich is just a much better coach than Spoelstra and the Spurs are much more experienced in the Finals than the Heat.

That being said, Wade and Bosh could decide to actually play like All Stars, and either make the series a 7-game nail-biter, or even win it.

But I say Spurs in 5 or 6 games.

At least we don't need to worry about physical status of Spurs' veterans as they have 10 days to get prepared.
