so today I was looking up the candidates and issues for the midterm elections, after receiving a rant in the mail against a proposal to impose a local income tax to raise money for roads, parks, and community centers

and I went to see how the various judicial-rating agencies rated the judicial candidates, because I rely on that more than partisan considerations (although at the state level, one pair of candidates both hava terrible ratings, and in the other, both have excellent ratings, so I did decide to just vote for the Democrats...but seriously, the last two cycles I tended to vote for the Republicans in judicial elections)

and once again the Cincinnati Bar Association is lagging behind in releasing its ratings, and now there are seven competitive local judicial races instead of last year's four

HATE when people purposely sit in their cars or stand next to them waiting for someone to move from a closer parking spot. Like seriously!?!?! I'm at the first parking spot and I leave to take trash/recycled stuff out and this chick waits for me to get loaded up and then moves into my spot which is only about 10 yards closer than she was originally.

And she's backed in to the spot......mostly a black weird people thing I've noticed.

in fact, she wouldn't even pull out in that situation...she'd just sit in her car and wait for the person to drive off. she'd sit there for minutes on end if necessary, even if there was no parking space within 100 yards.

she was fucking mean, incidentally. our breakup sucked.

Everybody else with experience will pretend to be incompetent so you can stay up nights researching what they're supposed to be doing and then actually doing all their work.

After six months to two years of this hell, you'll be 100% the bomb at your job (and their jobs).

If your boss is halfway decent, they'll know what's up....so, yeah, you'll be utterly indispensable and everybody will fucking know it.
