I love my job and I love the kids I work with, but sometimes it's really hard to balance on the line between "I don't get paid to do this" and letting the kids fall on their face.

As a TA I am not a case manager, and I do not have access to an IEP. However, the case manager for the kids that I work with closely is incompetent, and I am left to pick up her slack. It's so frustrating because I care so much for these kids that I don't want them to fail and fall behind, but at the same time this woman needs to get her act together!

I'm so tired of teenage girls saying that school dress codes promote rape culture. I mean yeah, we shouldn't be telling girls not to wear things because it could distract the boys, because a girl shouldn't feel like she deserved being rape because of what she was wearing. But it's not appropriate to wear shorts that show half your butt cheeks at school. It's not appropriate to wear thin strap tank tops at school. It's not appropriate to wear a crop top shirt at school. Just like it's not appropriate for boys to wear wife beaters at school, or wear their pants halfway down their ass.

Sorry for the rant, just had to deal with a 13 year old girl getting all preachy because she was told her shorts are too short.

School may not be an actual job, but it's preparing students for life, and in life, there is a time and place to wear short shorts, and it is not at school or at your job. Unless you have a job that specifically calls for that attire.

Oh yeah, I definitely am. I've gotten my life so much more together. He was a fun guy to date, when he was in the mood. It was a stressful relationship. I really enjoyed all the fishing I got to do. He took me tuna fishing and I caught a tuna with him. He and I are still friendly with each other, it took a few months after we broke up to be able to talk again without fighting. I miss all the fishing I got to do with him, but the guy I'm with now is so much better for me.

I will feel awkward watching the show around my current boyfriend now. I mean he's not the jealous type, but I will watch the show.

It's the Wicked Tuna Outer Banks show that he is gonna be on.

I got a nice little compliment from a German chic that I was chattin' up in the Doctors office today. We ended up talking for about 15 minutes or so before she said that I had a cool accent that sounded like a beautiful melody. Then she wanted to guess where I was from and said that I must be either French or Irish... like that makes any fucking sense.

Anyways, I told her that I was from the South in the US and she said "Oh, well at least I was 50% right"

And then due to my horrible conditioning that I obtained from five years of marriage, I then said "yes of course" instead of the truth that is "no actually not, but I might be able to give you 25 % correct because you at least got the native language right on one of your guesses."

Anyways, it was a good compliment about my German that I don't often hear, and I was pleasantly surprised by her ass so yeah.

lol. I was at the doctors office because I got a stress fracture from running too much during my recent vacay to switzerland.

Running 3 hours a day for a week up into the mountains may not have been the best idea, but still worth it. That was some amazing scenery.
