I have been online stalking a few bathing suits. I currently only have one bathing suit (which I am told is not enough by all of my friends) But I have the most awful time finding ones that will fit up top. These ones from Nordstrom look like they would do the trick though

I've heard that "Freya" is a great brand for more full figured bodies.

What do you ladies think?

I like 2 better than 1...mostly because it looks your age.

I have the hardest time finding one piece suits that don't make me look like I'm 55 years old. The green is cute, but its a little aging if that makes sense.

Yeah that makes total sense. Although I have a one piece that is a little more my age. But it's pretty scandalous in the boobal region. To the point where I don't like wearing it if there are kids around haha I can see what you mean about finding suits that don't age you. I've often wondered, would a tailor ever be able to make custom bathing suit? I've never heard of that happening but I can't imagine it would be such an incredible feat. then again I know next to nothing about that stuff

I think I'm going to order the red one. It's a little bit $texas at Nordstrom but I think it will be worth it.

You're so quick with the fashion advice Diva

My grandmother made all my swimsuits up until high school. I had some cute little bikinis as a toddler. Chubby 2 year old bellies are cute, though, chubby 29 year old bellies...not so much. I do wish I could still fit in my black bikini with the yellowduck chain on the top.

I really like the one piece. But I agree they can look a little old ladyish if they don't fit extremely well.

Also, I love the term "boobal region". Both of those suits are cute though. Depending on what you're buying for, I think either would be fine.

^I love their suits...but my tits won't fit to save my life

I used to get excited when one piece suits were returned because they rarely sold them in the stores...then my boobs would explode out in the fitting room

Since we are talking swimsuits, I will be wearing rash guards some this summer so I need a two piece underneath so i wont be drowning in layers. I have a few but they all have bulky bows or ties on the sides or in the back. Where can I get a two piece that is simple and sleek enough to lay smooth under the rash guard top? Id like the bottom to be full coverage because I have a giant ass.

Fig leaves is good for low profile swimsuits, and you can buy the sizes like you would a bra. I get all my swimsuits that I wear under wetsuits (so similar to your rash guard) from fig leaves or H&M. But H&M is likely for smaller chested ladies.

I spent my summer wardrobe munnies on stuff to cover up with in the sun.

I have been looking at Lands End. They have full coverage high waist bikini bottoms in the mix and match, which would be perfect. But each piece is 55 bucks!

I do not like swimsuits that have those frilly frills around the bottom. It looks like you're sole purpose for wearing it is to cover up your bad bikini line shave. Otherwise, I think it's cute. But you have to somehow make it clear that you did a good job shaving.

My favorite gym charges $Texas for childcare with fewer available hours than the other gym we've been looking at. since my gf prefers the second gym and childcare is super important I'm going to have to forget about my favorite.

went to NYC this weekend for a quick trip, but unfortunately didn't make it out of the hotel room much ( ). I did get some shopping in at the design store at MoMA, and picked up these two gems. was going to give one to my sister but I love them both so much they might stay with me.

How useful do you think this would be? I've been wanting an infinity dress."

I have that dress and while I've only worn it once, I like it for the most part. two caveats: I have pretty big boobs and I don't like going braless (I'm a 34DD and I had a breast reduction when I was 18 so they're not saggy but they're much more comfortable with support), and most of the possible styles make it difficult to wear a standard bra. also, the infinity straps/scarves/whatever are reaalllly long so with most of the styles you end up wrapping it a bunch back around you, which can add bulk if you don't do it just so.

I've never thought of frills as trying to cover something up. But I will be sure to be meticulously groomed if I go to the beach.

I mostly dislike frills because they are too girly, but I don't mind it in that photo.

That's not bad....but I don't want a "traditional" looking messenger bag if that makes sense.

I want a fun colorful leather bag. I know I'm going to have to bite the bullet one day and just buy a nice one, but for now I'll whine and whine hoping someone will put it on sale lolol

The only monogram bag I'd carry is a Louis, but that's only if someone bought it for me. If I bought a Louis it would be from another collection.

Hey Diva, on the subject of one-piece suits, what do you think of this one:

I got it in case I need to wear one around certain in-laws that expect more modesty (and would fuss about certain tattoos that any two piece would show). I don't mind if it's a little aging, but I don't want to look that old if I wear it :-/

I think it's cute. I also like one pieces from shabby apple (disclosure, mormom website). But they tend to be pretty cute too.

[Edited on April 24, 2012 at 2:21 PM. Reason : Although, now I don't see the one I liked on their site anymore. ]

[Edited on April 24, 2012 at 2:21 PM. Reason : And the ones they have left look really frumpy. I take back that recommendation.]

This was the one I liked, and they no longer have

This is one site that has a slightly bigger picture of it though: http://www.petticoatfair.com/shop/product.php?productid=18113&cat=349&page=1

Oh it's from Spanx

Check Saks.com http://bit.ly/JXdMIZ for Spanx...they don't have that style, but a few others that are super cute and modest

and it's friend's & family so you get 20%

I will say with spanx...go a size up...they run small and they're tight (which I like) because they're shaping as well

[Edited on April 24, 2012 at 3:33 PM. Reason : oh and they're short in the torso area, so you will have to go up if you're taller]

^ thanks for posting that! I don't really need it, but it led me to find a nice pedicure deal nearby

^^I was kinda hesitant about that suit because it was from Spanx ... I'm all for their underthings, but swimsuits or clothing are another story. I just thought it would be somewhat cute for those particular circumstances, and I love sheer shoulders on everything. It arrived a few weeks ago, but have yet to try it on. I fear putting on bathing suits in general

oh they're great suits and feel awesome on

the sizing is just a little wonky, but that was when they first came out 2 years ago. They may have made some changes. I didn't get to try any on last year.

I am kinda loving that flowery lace one I posted from Saks...I'm all about a bandeau style suit because of tan lines, and it makes me look good lol
