No shit

Their first year they had an all black one shoulder with a white ruffle that went along the shoulder...I went to buy it twice I wish I would have!

They do have it in all black now though...but this is the one I was talking about

HS girl makes her own prom dresses, one out of cardboard and bags, another out of soda can tabs and one from doritos bags. I really love the soda can tab one!

i LOVE the floral spanx swimsuit on the last page. Erica, i can totally see you rocking that.

i just found out yesterday that my VP is coming in next week and i like to dress up when he's here. only problem is that none of my dress pants fit me anymore (they're a size 6 and seriously all 3 of them have only been worn maybe 2-3 times each) so this gave me a good excuse to go back to my new favorite website and order a pair of pants on sale

so i got these in navy.

http://www.cwonder.com/sale/clothings/chino-flare-trouser.html

and then i got this bag in olive

http://www.cwonder.com/shoes-bags/shop-by-category/bags/mini-nylon-easy-tote.html

and i bought these things last saturday when i was in the store:

in ecru
http://www.cwonder.com/clothing/shop-by-category/tops-sweaters/cropped-cardigan.html

in ecru
http://www.cwonder.com/clothing/shop-by-category/tops-sweaters/tie-belt-blouson.html

in a reddish pink but it looks like they sold out

soooo I don't know if you all have heard of the big clothing swap redress does....but my fashionSPARK ladies are coming up with a plan to do one.

It's really cool. You pay $5 (theirs was $2) and bring your clothes one Saturday...we organize them into sections and then everyone has at it. You can take whatever you want from the piles. Anything left over will be donated to charity.

We're thinking about doing it in June...so if you're interested, let me know and I'll post the details in where when it comes together

here's info on what they did this past year http://www.redressraleigh.com/events/2011/1/16/redress-clothing-swap-at-kings.html

Ok, I think I'm gonna move the swap - only begonias and Nerdchick have been able to RSVP yes - others have been maybe, or outright no. And, as much as I like you gals, I think it's kind of a waste to just have us three for definitely.

So, if I made it on another day, when the heck would you guys be able to come? lol.

I was getting excited about hosting, and now

A complete stranger from another office in this building just told me my outfit was "cute and really cool" That made me cause I always feel like I dont dress trendy enough for NYC when I'm here for work. I used to be such a bad dresser, bad shapes and bad colors. Credit really goes to this thread though because I'm wearing the striped BR dress I bought that NCSUWolfy posted (SIZE SMALL ), leggings, a dark wash jean jacket, and a silver long chains necklace.

It's definitely a moment because, holy moly this size small makes me look sleek and sexy. I have a figure!

well, personally, i don't see how the sizing adds to that.

I complimented a size 30 woman on her skirt the other day and she said it was a dress she got a banana republic. clearly i have to go look in there sometime haha

I dont know if it's the sizing but in my new dress I look a lot thinner and sexy than I do in my old clothes I've been wearing since I've lost weight.

Yes, clothes that fit properly can make a huge difference than clothes that are too tight or too baggy. Yay for well fitted dresses Minka!

Yeah girl!! I'm so glad you like the dress! I feel like it gives me a sexy shape too. When I wear that dress I feel hotness

Don't you love how it has stretch but the knit is still kind of thick without being bulky? Hard to describe but since you own the dress I feel like you will know what i am trying to say

What kind of shoes did you wear w it? I wore mine last night on a date (haaay) and wore black peep toe pumps bu I've also worn it with black ballet flats (not my fav look but it was what I had in my suitcase)

on the subject of inconsistent sizing at BR, I remembered this chart (posted in this thread a while back, iirc)

http://www.nytimes.com/imagepages/2011/04/24/business/20110425_SIZE_graphic.html?

I'd rather be a "big" size in every store than have these designers try to make me feel skinnier than I am. It's irritating to keep track of what size I need to buy in over a dozen places. I don't need the ego boost, thankyouverymuch.

I'm thinking about getting a divacup but I'm not sure if I dislike tampons enough to sink money into a divacup that I may not like. Plus my periods are light so it's not like I spend a bunch of money on products like some people.
But they're only 26 bucks on amazon so I'm sure at some point I'll pick one up.

I posted in here back in November I think when I decided I wanted to try wearing my hair with soft curls on occasion. I think I have tried it twice since then and realized I wasn't the best at it. But today I had some time to kill so I gave it another shot. I think I did a little better this time. I wish I had the time/motivation to do it more than once or twice a month.

I'm also trying out makeup techniques to see if I can do my own for my cousin's wedding in June instead of hiring someone. I went with a smoky eye today, but I don't think it looks that smoky in the pic. Any pointers on wedding makeup?

We ended up going with this dress in Marine (navy) by the way: http://www.davidsbridal.com/Product_Structured-Satin-Dress-with-Convertible-Neckline-F13629

^ You could try the disposable cups and see if you like them. I think the brand is Instead.

The disposable cups are way harder to remove from what I have heard.

The best part of the diva cup is that you can put it in before your period starts, unlike a tampon. No more risk of turning your pants into a nasty mess! I would easily pay much more for the cup than tampons because it makes my life so much easier. You empty it twice a day, otherwise it's almost like I'm not having my period.

Love the look! How do you do soft curls? I touch my hair a lot so I don't think they'd stick for long but I wanna try

I used hot rollers. I took them out, ran my fingers through my hair a few times, sprayed it, then just messed with it till it looked good. It tales a bit for them to relax enough that I don't feel like Shirley Temple. My hair is straight as hell and also very fine, so it's hard to get it to hold and curl. But those held on all night. I'm pleased.

If you have soft hold spray you can spray before you put them in too. I didn't this time but have before.

So jealous. My hair is thin and fine and won't hold curl at all. I've never succeeded in getting curl to hold more than a few hours.

well, they don't follow the "ideal brow" rule of extending to the line created by the nostril and the corner of the eye, but i kinda do that too. the ones too close to the middle kinda grow up, not out
